Unprofessional management!!
Since the reception closed at 5:00 PM and we arrived shortly after, no one could help us. The next morning, we contacted the office manager responsible for bookings and presented her our booking and payment confirmation. We were very rudely informed that their computer system had displayed a standard room instead of the more expensive Executive Suite we had booked and already paid for. We politely requested clarification and a refund of the overpayment but were very rudely dismissed with the explanation that it must have been a booking error.
Since we needed to get to the airport in time for our connecting flight to Cape Town, we left a copy of our confirmation with the office manager, requesting clarification. The following weeks passed without any response from management. Livega House seemed to be deliberately ignoring the matter. Apparently, they didn't even deem it necessary to apologize or refund the difference.
After months of email correspondence, to which management barely responded, the office manager finally admitted her mistake but tried to delay the refund as long as possible. Due to high bank fees for the transfer from Namibia to Germany, we received only a third of the originally owed amount after several months. It would have been professional for Livega House to have immediately admitted the error and refunded the difference.
Because of these frustrating incidents and the poor management, we can only give this supposedly 5-star hotel 3 stars for the good food. Unfortunately, due to our negative and unprofessional experience, we Unprofecannot recommend this hotel and will definitely choose a different hotel on our next visit to Windhoek!

Your booking was made through a third-party platform that is not affiliated with our establishment, and unfortunately the information provided to you, including the room type and rate, did not match what was available on our system. As a result, the room you booked was not one we had available at the time, and we already had confirmed guests allocated to those rooms.
Despite this, we made every effort to assist you and worked through the necessary processes to facilitate a refund, even though the booking discrepancy originated outside of our direct systems. As you may recall, we followed up multiple times to ensure that the refund was received on your end.
We regret if any of our communication came across as dismissive, as this was never our intention. Situations involving third-party bookings can be complex, particularly when incorrect information is provided by platforms not connected to our system. Had the booking been made directly with us or through one of our verified partners, we would have been able to resolve the matter immediately and more efficiently.
We are disappointed that the situation has resulted in a negative impression of our establishment, especially as we did work to reach a resolution under challenging circumstances. That said, we do take your feedback seriously and will continue to improve our communication and processes where possible.
