Amazing location

We stayed in the Malmo lodge right by the sea and it was great. The accommodation was very comfortable and being right by the sea was bliss. We also had a peak at the service units and If you were camping here you would not be disappointed. Having stayed in lots of holiday resorts in Europe, I felt the ‘resort’ aspects were lacking - you have to pay a high fee to get into the swimming pool (so we don’t use it) and the shop on site have limited produce so we had to leave to go to a nearby supermarket. But overall it was a magical location and a great place to stop for a few nights as we were travelling around Sweden.

Incredibly disappointed in the experience bath
Either bring your own lock or buy expensive
Never before been in a bathhouse where locks are not included - Very worn - Rudely expensive for the quality you are given
Little showers and cramped dressing rooms

Stay away!

Terrible experience. Fortunately we had only chosen 3 nights! Party and noise on the square until 23:00 AM AND after! Had to go out and ask them to turn off the music. There are no guards present.
There is no numbering sign on any of the roads and it took us a long time to find our place where the number only stands on a small electric board.
If you come as young people, who want to party can be clearly recommended. There are no restrictions. But as a family, it's awful if you try to get your kids to sleep before 23:00.
We stayed at Ângen as we could read should be a quiet area. And as the resort itself writes: "None. One quiet area with central location". That's a lie!
Overcrowded space. Minimum bathroom with poor ventilation.
The only positive we can find is kitchen/dishwashing facilities. They are clean and neat and work well!
A 5-star resort clearly does not have a mark of it. We'll never come back.

Poor night peace and okay standard

Unfortunately, the service felt a bit half-hearted and the service buildings were not very fresh. The biggest problem, however, was the noise level from the large playground. Children roared and lived robbers well into the night, and we could not sleep until around 1am. The campsite should take its own rules of conduct more seriously and make sure it is quiet after 11pm.

Vastervik resort

Very large campsite with a beautiful location. Please note that all facilities are subject to payment (pool, bouncy castle etc.) There are far too few toilets and showers for the guests present!

You can bring your own bed linen and towels or rent on site for 150 SEK. You can choose to clean the accommodations yourself. Cleaning equipment is available. A cleaning fee will be charged if you do not clean before check-out. The fee may vary. If you expect to arrive after 16:00 from 1 October until 30 April, please inform Västervik Resort in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking or contact the property. Please note that the Adventure bath in the Resort is only open Saturday to Sunday during September. After September it is closed until May 2026. Lysses Playground in Marielund is currently closed for renovations. It will reopen in June 2025.
