Lovely hotel if alittle far from Basel

Lovely hotel, clean, helpful staff on the outskirts of Basel.
We stayed here as it was next to the waterpark which we used and if you book through reception you do get a discount on your booking.
The Basel Card is a amazing if you plan to visit the centre of Basel with regular trains and trams to the city centre from Prattln, although the station is 10 minutes walk away.
I believe it would help greatly if there were menu's to both the restaurant and bar. We didn't use either as we didn't know what was in offer.
Please be aware they do charge your card when checking in, which is refunded at the end of your trip....however this should also be made clearer when the initial booking is made. Switzerland is expensive and this messed up budgeting I had in mind.

Basel pit stop

Needs to charge the car enroute from Italy to Germany and also needed something to eat. Luckily the restaurant was open. The menu is limited but covers all bases. The staff were lovely and managed to understand us. We both had ‘bowls’, my wife the Chicken Cajun and myself the Tahini. Portions were more than generous, so much so that neither of us finished….almost unheard of. Thoroughly recommend even if you just want a drink or coffee. Nice touch of fruit flavoured water on offer in reception.

Warm friendly staff, especially Thomas on reception. Very clean and modern, large room with fabulous bed and shower.
Restaurant food was excellent and again very helpful staff.

Excellent stay at the courtyard marriott Basel

Excellent facilities, and staff very polite, friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, fabulous comfy king-size bed, and excellent shower.
Food in the restaurant great with a little shop selling sweets, biscuits, crisps and drinks etc
Overall I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Basel.

Service unfriendly and unhelpful

The hotel bar was closed at 11:00 PM. But there is a 24-hour refrigerator. However, only half of it was filled. Beer was already out at 12:00 AM. When asked at the reception, they did not want to refill the refrigerator... So unfortunately, no after-work beer for us... really frustrating!

Es tut uns leid, dass Sie nach Schließung unserer Bar keinen zufriedenstellenden Service über unseren 24-Stunden-Kühlschrank erhalten haben und dieser nur teilweise befüllt war. Unser Ziel ist es, auch außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten eine verlässliche Alternative zu bieten. Umso mehr bedauern wir, dass dies – insbesondere durch die fehlende Nachfüllung – nicht gewährleistet werden konnte.
Gerne würden wir den Vorfall besser nachvollziehen, um gezielt Verbesserungen umzusetzen. Ich würde mich daher über einen direkten Austausch mit Ihnen freuen, insbesondere um unsere Abläufe sowie die Kommunikation mit unseren Gästen weiter zu verbessern.
