Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, sea view and a terrace, Chimenea is located in Nerja. It is set 500 metres from Burriana Beach and provides a lift.

Chimenea Apartments, Nerja.
We stayed in Gaviotta apartment, 1 bedroom, really big with 2 balconys, fully equipped kitchen, including a washing machine and dishwasher and easy to use Air Conditioning. We loved staying here. You can walk down to Burriana Beach, there is a gate next to the apartment building that leads you down steps, turn left at the bottom and follow the steep hill down, turn left and walk about 200 yards and you're at Burriana Beach, but would recommend that you get a taxi back, costs between 7 to 8 Euros, and a taxi to the main town costs about the same, there are taxi ranks in the main town too, there's a large supermarket called Mercadona within walking distance, about 15 minute walk, but pleasant if you go early to avoid the heat later in the day. There's a lovely cafe close by the apartments too, food and drink till late. A bus stops close to the apartments but it came once a day, it takes you to the main town and a large Lidl (another supermarket) but taxis are easy to obtain.

Lovely well equipped apartment location at top of very steep hill let it down
Just had a lovely week in property RO139 Chimenea apartments Nerja booked through Teamstarholiday rentals The holiday was wonderful The booking agency were very efficient and did everything we requested Taxi was waiting for us at airport and arrived on time for return journey The apartment was very clean and very well equipped with everything you could think of There were a couple of maintenance issues which will be taken up with agency The area was about 20 minutes walk away from centre of Nerja and 15 mins to nearest beach and at top of very steep hill so unless you had a car was not really suitable for families or those with mobility problems There were no shops. Or other amenities on the site which compelled people to have to go either up or down the hill Buses were very in frequent Overall great apartment and good value but location let it down for us

Surprisingly good find - good location and well equipped
We stayed here for three nights in June/July 2013 and paid EUR 220 for three nights.
The accommodation had two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two singles. The apartment had a balcony with patio furniture along with a lounge with two small sofas, satellite TV, a dining room table, a kitchen with electric cooker, fridge freezer, microwave and washing machine.
There was a small communal pool that is unheated, but is generally hot enough in June/July. The apartment also has two seats for use around the pool.
The apartment has full air conditioning that's very effective.
The apartment we stayed in was located opposite a bar which can be noisy at night, however turning on the A/C or just putting it on fan mode is enough to drown out the noise.
The only real difficulty we had with the apartment was getting in. The apartment is located in a modern (2009) block and there's no office or reception desk. We ended up phoning the phone number on the outside of the building and within 5 minutes Pépé and his son came along to let us in and explain everything to us. They accept credit cards or cash when you arrive to pay for your stay. They are both delightful people who are very friendly and happy to help you out.
The apartment is about a 5-10 minute drive from main Nerja. There is a bar with a pool and a small shop just opposite and the beach is a 5-10 minute walk away - however it's down (and up on the way back!) a very, very steep hill, and with a small child and/or pushchair etc... it will be challenging (and unless you get there early, there's no parking).
Speaking of parking, there are no dedicated spaces, but ample free parking in the surrounding roads - easily close enough to carry suitcases etc... in. There's no lift up to the apartment but only one flight of stairs.
Overall, this was a great find, it was a reasonable price, Pépé and his son were exceptionally helpful and friendly, it was well equipped and comfortable. Definitely recommended.

Love this place!
I am very lucky that my uncle owns an apartment in this complex and I have visited here 4 times in the last 2 years. The complex is usually very quiet and quite often you have the pool to yourself, August perhaps being the main exception to this. The apartments are an ideal base for lazy days down at Burriana beach or evening ventures into Nerja town. I would recommend a car though for ease of getting around. If you're heading down to Burriana...go early if you want to get parked & save yourself the walk back up the hill!! Many great bars and restaurants both on Burriana and in Nerja town, can't wait to return in March and tick another few off my list!

holiday trip
Met by pepe and his english speaking son 5 min after phone call to him shown to 2 bed appartment very clean and views of the sea sat tv in english only negative bedroom was above electric garage door that was very noisy day and night
