Perfect !!

Perfect staying.
Did not planned, just stopped to ask if they serve lunch; they did, only for their guests, but welcomed us. And we decided to stay for the night.
Fell in love with the place, it'd calm and quiet yard and that something that makes you feel at your grandma's house (including linnen with small flowers)
Perfect for those with children, many things to do and play, while you enjoy a coffee on a sunbed under the trees.
Food is delicious and the coffee is great.
Warm and perfect hosts, along with 2 big dogs who love to be cuddled makes me to want to come back again.

One of the greatest holiday experience!

Simple, this was one of our greatest traditional Romanian holiday experience!
Few arguments:
- extremely warm owners and always ready to help.
- professional and supportive staff, looking forward to make your stay as relaxed and enjoyable as possible
- spotless and spacious rooms
- traditional and delicious food, prepared using bio products directly from the owners farm.
- excellent location, close to many touristic attractions
- last, but certainly not least, children friendly location, with a generous playground within the huge backyard garden.
We will definitely come back with pleasure.
Many thanks once again, Lavinia and Radu, for making our stay unforgettable at your property.

Wonderful

Everything was very good.Very nice people, food was great.... remember me the time when I was a kid. They are doing the best to make you feel like home. The wine has a special flavor, must try it! I was very surprised about the dinner ... good food, simple and as much you can eat and they are flexible. Very, very hot in the room (in the night was -14 ,you cannot feel that is winter) clean, hot water, a lot of TV channels, big yard and nice dogs( very friendly). Was a very good choice for our winter holiday.

Greatest Romanian experience !

Conacul Bunicilor was the fairy tale come true place that our family of three - two adults and a teenager - stayed at in August 2018. The location was ideal for getting on or off the Transfagarasan and Transalpina and stopping in a house that feels like home. From the welcoming remarks , the hello from the grandparents at the entrance with their flair of old romanian novel, the hosts showing us amazing rooms , the exceptional food served even when you check in late , the traditional , organic , local delicatessen , the warmth of Denisa and her sweet and polite voice, the unpretentious comfort, the cleanliness , the beauty of this place and specially the feelings you are left with ...best place to be. The owners came the second day and they were both friendly , gracious and funny making us feel once again at home. The dogs I could have taken home - apparently frowned upon :) . The room had everything you would expect at a Sheraton in terms of accomodatations but so much more feeling. Needless to say we recommend this place to everyone - great location, great food, great people ...I will never forget it !

4 days of perfect holiday

I spent four days with my family (8 people, 5 to 65 years) at Conacul Bunicilor. I highly recommend this location for the great conditions offered at a really reasonable cost.
The staff is extremely courteous, polite and do not refuse any request.
The location is quiet, near the Parang mountains and has a huge garden. For those who love animals, two intelligent and well educated dogs will make your stay more joyful. There is also an adventure park with zip line, tree house etc. but we didn’t use because every day we chose to walk and discover new places. The internet is ok.
Accommodation is correct, comfortable beds, bedding very clean, hot water, cable TV.
But the best “experience” at Conacul Bunicilor is the food, bio (most are local products, from wine, palinca, to jams, milk, cheese or ham), plentiful, very tasty and varied.
The location is excellent to visit a lot of wonderful places around. One day we chose to go to Tg.Jiu (Brancusi), Cheile Sohodolului and Tismana Monastery. On another day we climbed the Transalpina, then we went to Pestera Muierilor, Polovragi Monastery, Polovragi Cave and Cheile Oltetului. On our return to Bucharest we stopped at Horezu Monastery and the pottery workshops, then we visited the famous “Cule” from Maldaresti, Arnota Monastery and Manastirea dintr-un Lemn.
It was perfect, so we will definitely return.
