Tranzzit Hotel
A kortárs művészeti alkotásokkal díszített szobákat kínáló Hotel Tranzzit kevesebb mint 1 km-re található a Gara de Nord pályaudvartól és metróállomástól, valamint 20 perces sétára a Parlamenttől. A szálloda ingyenes Wi-Fi hozzáféréssel és bárral várja vendégeit.

This was the perfect location for what I needed; I arrived in the city by bus and was able to walk there after getting the metro from the bus station - it was 10 min walk to the train station which is the best way to get to the airport. It felt like a safe neighborhood, a few convenience stores and eating places in walking distance. As it was not on a main road there was no traffic noise.
The room and en-suite was very spacious. I stayed for two nights , the bed was made up and towels replaced. As I had hung up the towels my I felt new towels was unnecessary and perhaps they change as some people who do not care about their environmental impact complain if they have to use a towel more than once. It is good that the bath mat is replaced as there is no shower curtain around the bath thus the mat does get wet.
There is a fridge in the room. I would have liked to have a kettle to boil water but get used to the fact that it not always common on continental Europe. The room was clean and comfortable.
Staff were nice and helpful.
I enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to stay again.

Excellent value

I was not notified that I would be locked out after 8.30p.m.! I was lucky enough to rouse a resident/guest who came and let me in the front door. I saw a notice inside giving a phone number and he gave me the code for the key safe and my room. I was tired after a day's travelling! The next morning I asked the receptionist the best place to go for breakfast. He virtually grunted and pointed in a vague direction. That evening I was having difficulty booking an early taxi for my trip and he couldn't help as he is Indian and doesn't speak Romanian! After 30 years of solo travelling in many cheaper places I have never been so dismayed at the lack of help and respect! Room was huge, bed clean and comfortable, half the shower worked.

A basic room in Bucharest
We arrived at Hotel Tranzzit early afternoon and with our zero knowledge of Romanian managed the check in process with no problems. The room was spacious and clean with a sofa, beds, wardrobe tv and aircon. The window was broken and wouldn’t close but wasn’t an issue in the 39° heat…
We booked B&B but when we asked about breakfast we were told to ‘go the market’. This was a bit annoying as there are no coffee making facilities on site either.
The area is fine, a little run down but that would describe most of the city! There is a wonderful park close by which is great for visiting anytime of the day. Lots of quality takeaways close by and a couple of supermarkets.
There is parking on the street outside for anyone hiring a car (for a small fee online), there are buses locally and the station is only a 10 min walk away.
We just used the room as a base for our holiday, and left part-way through our stay to go visit Braşov and Sibiu for a few days returning for a night before flying home.
If you’re looking for a basic room, you’ll have no problems here.

I had a comfortable and pleasant stay at Hotel Tranzzit. The location is convenient, especially for travelers using the train or public transportation. The room was clean and adequately equipped, offering a quiet environment for rest. I particularly appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, who were always ready to assist with any requests.
