Situated in Iquitos in the Loreto region, Central Bed & Breakfast has a garden. There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay.

Central Bed and Breakfast rocks!
Central Bed & Breakfast is a two block walk from the Plaza de Armas in Iquitos, but it offers personalized service and value on a scale that is hard to measure. They are what I would call a Botique Hotel. They have 12 rooms in four stories, but what it lacks in terms of size, it makes up for in service and value. I spent two weeks there recently and I am glad that I had the good fortune of having a friend recommend them to me.
I have made 13 trips to Iquitos. So, I’ve stayed in a variety of hotels there, from the most expensive to more modest and affordable ones. Yes, you can spend a whole lot more and get a few assurances for a small fortune, but if value is an important component of your travel plans then Central Bed & Breakfast may be your best choice in Iquitos.
The owner is an experience hotelier and restauranteur in Iquitos. He is Peruvian, from Iquitos, but he has lived and worked in the USA for many years. He speaks English fluently, as well as German, and Spanish, of course. Roy and his staff go out of their way to accommodate their guests. One morning I had an early morning appointment, I had to leave at 6:00 a.m. Roy said if I would show up at 5:40, they would serve me breakfast at that time. I didn’t have to ask; I was the only one in my party that ate breakfast that day.
Rooms are clean and comfortable, the water is hot, and the hospitality is refreshing. I recommend Central Bed and Breakfast and will use them again when in Iquitos. Gracias!

Highly recommended… I would stay here again and again
So incredibly helpful! I was on my own and I do not speak Spanish. The owner and staff were amazing. They helped me with getting from the airport to my lodging and then back. Also helped me get a tuk tuk to another location I needed to get to. My room was very clean and comfortable. The street was noisy, but earplugs are supplied. They also supply bottled water. I was very happy with my stay at Central bed-and-breakfast. Prices were very reasonable! The breakfast was delicious and I even got one to go on the morning I was flying out.

Friendly and helpful staff
I used Central Bed and Breakfast at the start of my Amazon vacation and then, during the visit, I returned multiple times between wildlife tours. I found the staff friendly and very helpful. Owner Jack with his fluent English and long experience with tourists was a great resource for local history, tours, restaurants, you name it.
This place is very service oriented with an excellent kitchen and good coffee. One morning I met a guide at 5am for birding and Jack arranged for a packaged breakfast to take with me.
The staff anticipated my needs and really enhanced my appreciation of Iquitos and the Amazon jungle.

Iquitos at it’s best
This was the most awesome place to stay.
It was super super clean. The water was always hot.
The breakfast was amazing and the coffee is absolutely amazing.
Himey the owner is the BEST host along with his son’s. They were great at making us feel welcome.
We will stay here again 100%

I'd Do It Again!
I stayed here three nights before and two nights after a retreat. When I go back I plan to stay here again. Everyone that works here was so helpful!
The daily breakfast was fantastic! I got eggs any way I wanted them and they made fresh juice every morning. I don't know where they got it but the bread was fresh and delicious. Eat it with that honey! There's bottled water available for 3/S which is a great price. There's a small courtyard where you can be outside but still not in public. The wi-fi was surprisingly good and consistent. I downloaded a bunch of music for my trip.
The location is great because it's just a short 2, maybe 3?, block walk to the town center. On the walk there you'll find lots of interesting things. If you head straight up the street towards the river you'll find souvenir shops, smoke shops, and LOADS of restaurants. It's also very close to a no fee ATM.
The negatives were pretty minor:
*The doors don't automatically lock.
*The beds are REALLY low and my knees are bad.
*There's 2 nightclubs (one is RIGHT across the street) very close. You can hear the music all night. I even heard it through headphones. Earplugs?
*The air conditioner kept leaking and making huge puddles on the floor but if I didn't use the AC it was WAY too hot and humid.
That said, I'd happily stay there again. I mean, look at those dogs. Who wouldn't want to see those cuties again
