Fab stay
We had a lovely stay here, welcomed by the fabulous Roberto who told us everything we needed and more! Rooms were very spacious, light and we loved the little balcony! Great nights sleep each night and loved how secure it was. Yes it was a little noisy on an evening but that never bothered us!

Great location just steps from the cathedral
The reviews of other users, which I have read, correspond to reality. In the sense that the nocturnal street noises until morning are really annoying, even though I sleep very heavily. And also the fact that in the bathroom of my room there was a door leading into the hallway of the structure, but it was not a problem. Rather the thing that disappointed me a little (but just a little) was that check in can be done from 11, but if the room is not ready there is no point doing it. In fact, once we did, we had to wait over an hour to take possession of the room. Let's say that the fact of check in available from 11 (which is a rarity) had a huge influence on the choice of the structure, because we could start to visit the city without having to go back to the structure to do so. In fact, I booked the very expensive car park for 11am and I could have avoided it. Anyway, it's all relative. My judgment is positive. The room is large, clean, even the bathroom is spacious. The manager at reception is friendly and helpful. Above all, the location is fabulous, 2 steps from the cathedral.

Wonderful
What a great place! Just a few steps from Piazza Santa Croce, therefore in a very central location: a spacious room with a balcony ( with a table and two chairs ) and a private bathroom. I am mentioning this because quite a few hotels in Florence have shared bathrooms, usually the cheapest ones. So if you’re looking for a good deal in a perfect location this is it. The mid week rate for a room in March is 88 Euros ($109 dollars). Expect to pay a city tax of 6 Euros per person.

Fantastic place
Unfortunately Tripadivisor broke the dates... we were at A Theatre twice, in 2015 and 2016 and in both we were very well received. Privileged location, service and accommodation note 10. The second time Alessandra was pregnant and we wish everything was fine with her and her family.

DON'T BE FRIGHTENED BY THE GATEWAY
First of all, and although clarification is redundant, it must be remembered that it is a B&B therefore the room is not made daily, nor are soaps replaced, nor the typical services of a hotel. Despite the photos I saw in our case breakfast was not included.
We were in the room Gialla (Yellow) for 3 people. The room is perfect for sleeping, is spacious and bright. It is true that you hear noises from the hall or the street (garbage truck) but personally I have rested quite well.
The bed is a bit soft, the shower is right, the air conditioning perfect, the wifi right.
Finally, do not be afraid with the street gate, everything improves in the room.
