AAlready more than ten years a nice place to stay

We returned here after seven years. One year we couldnot reach the place(2011) because the roads were floadded.
When we arrived in Rundu we could not believe our eyes: we remembered the city as dirty, chaotic and quite small, but now you find there many beautiful new buildings and also the roads are much better. The shops incredible much better. A charming town.
Our campsite is some 15 minutes drive fromthe center, close to the river. It has a restaurant and bar and many beautiful campsiteswith electricity and water . A very good choice when you have to stay in Rundu. On your way to the mainroad you pass by a small market place that has it charms. Pure for locals but you can have some nice grilled meat there made on huge fireplaces.

We came here because our vehicle had problems and had to be fixed. We are campers and pitched our tent in beautifull campsite, but oh dear, the ablutions is the dirtiest I've come accross in 40 years of camping all over southern Africa. Everything is rundown and broken. The smell in the ablutions is terrible. We are the only people hear and hear is no form of security. It is such a pity, because it is a great spot to build a beautiful lodge. Will not recomend it at all.

Can't be trusted! !

We booked and confirmed the booking a day before for a sunset river cruise, but on arrival the receptionist saw that somebody had tried to scribble out our booking. She contacted the person (Moses) who runs the cruise, as he was on-site, but he jumped into his car and drove out never to be seen again.
Useless. Be warned.

Lovely setting, attention needed

We had to divert to Sarasungu due to access road to Samsitu flooded. Positives lovely under trees camsites, friendly staff, great setting. Ablutions clean but needs upgrade, dishwashing area the same, need to make a plan with roosters waking you early morning 3:30. Camp has huge potential. Least expensive accomodation out of 12

Stay one night had tree bungalows

This place is very bad and the rooms are not clean at all. The dinner was not good at all and staff totally not trained. The bedding is old and dont look good any more. Pitty the place is very nice on the river, But place run down and totally neat a rewamp
