The essence of the Riad

In the heart of the Tangier medina lies this corner of peace and tranquility. Excellent welcome. Very spacious rooms (bathroom included) and elegantly furnished. Very comfortable mattresses. Excellent and abundant breakfast served on the large rooftop with a breathtaking view over the rooftops of the Medina to the sea. Highly recommended.

Very cool

It's a typical Riyadh, don't expect a luxury hotel. It is very clean, very well located and has a great terrace to have breakfast and spend some time in the afternoon overlooking Gibraltar. We loved it and will come back!

Beautiful Riad

This is one of many beautiful Riad's we stayed at while we werein Morocco. from the outside it looks like a typical Riad but once you are inside it's beautiful with all of the handmade tiles. You do have to climb stairs to get to most of the rooms, so be prepared for that. There was a top area where you could get food and drinks. One late evening my wife and I had mint tea overlooking the city and listening to the call to prayer. Everybody in the hotel was incredibly nice and most could speak a good amount of English. Very reasonably priced.

An unpleasant experience

To begin with, I cannot understand how this Riad Tingis has such good reviews. I will describe my experience in this place where I was only thirty minutes.
This dreary, dark and minimally decorated hotel has an oppressive atmosphere from the get-go. The air is loaded with an unpleasant and lingering smell that invades the hallways and rooms. Lack of lighting makes every corner seem like a forgotten and very unwelcoming place. It has no elevator and the stairs are narrow.
We were greeted by a boy who does not have the slightest information about hospitality, in a room that serves as reception. The lobby couch, dirty and sloppy, and uncomfortable is the only seat where sitting is torture.
When we went up to the third floor, to the room "Ranya" we found two beds, as requested, and an old and dirty closet. The beds are worst of all, besides the dirty and unattended terrace, they are hard as stone and uncomfortable, and the General Mood of the room conveys a feeling of abandonment. The air conditioning was defective. We decided to leave immediately and communicated this to booking.com. We had to get our bags down from the room when we left half an hour after we arrived, and we were not helped by the two men who serve the hotel, at least as a courtesy.
The treatment of the staff is cold and impolite, making anyone feel more of an upset guest than a guest. All in all, it's a place where no one wants to stay.
I only have to thank the owner of Riad Tingis for returning the money I paid guided by the misleading opinions of others.

La decoración y el mobiliario son de estilo marroquí auténtico, lo que muchos viajeros valoran y disfrutan.

A riad located in the heart of the ancient medina, ideal to immerse yourself in the daily lives of its inhabitants, to dare to get lost and find yourself in the maze of alleys.
We enjoyed spacious, clean and neat accommodation with a terrace (for breakfast) with nice views.
