La Table Restaurant - Perfection

Had dinner at La Table at The Regency and it was exceptional. We were there to honour my late mum's birthday as she used to work at the hotel many years ago. It was a really special night, the restaurant has real old world style luxury, the food was amazing and the staff were absolutely lovely, with a level of professionalism you rarely see these days. They made a sad night really special for us. Will definitely eat here again next time we are in the Isle of Man.

Great traditional English style hotel with great service and good traditional breakfast. The locally smoked kippers are highly recommended to try for breakfast. Easy connections to bus, tram and train services and the view to the beach are great also from the hotel room.

Pleasant, relaxing stay

The room was clean, however the sink was badly cracked and needed replacing. The furnishings in the room were fit for purpose, albeit very dated. I also found the room to be quite noisy - being able to hear showers running, toilets flushing etc from nearby rooms, early morning and during the night. I had a room at the back of the hotel and only had a view of other buildings. However, the rooms at the front including the sitting area, bar and restaurant had great views over the bay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I did not have breakfast or eat in the restaurant, but the food in the bar was very good, although I thought it was expensive - but maybe not for the Isle of Man. The location was a long walk from the ferry terminal area, but well served by buses and the horse tram. It was also very close to the electric railway station

Old style hotel. No atmosphere. The lift is extremely limited for space very narrow and you would struggle if you were a larger person. No restaurant open in our first night, Tuesday. Did offer bar snacks but not what I wanted or expected. Room far too hot, poor view. TV too small for the room. Bed was comfortable

Superb in all aspects

We have recently come home from a four night break and can highly recommend this hotel.
It was ideally situated at the far end of the promenade with the harbour being the opposite end. It was spotlessly clean in all areas and the staff very helpful and friendly.
The quality of the food was superb and our first night dinner of three courses for thirty pounds was exceptional value and quality in choice and presentation.
The bedrooms were spacious with plentiful storage and surface areas for toiletries.
The bathroom immaculate and good quality towels and plentiful hot water and good water pressure.
The beds were comfortable and fresh milk was available on request for tea and coffee making.
