Amazing hostel!
My time at the tree house was definitely one of the best hostel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff is super friendly, rooms and rest rooms clean and neat. I definitely recommend!

Brilliant!
Wonderful hostel! The location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of the old town, with all the main sights just a short walk away. Public transport is nearby, and the train station is only 10 minutes away on foot. The rooms are clean, cozy, and have a welcoming atmosphere. A special thanks to the owner — an incredibly hospitable and interesting person, it was a pleasure to talk with him. Highly recommended!

Nice restaurant with great ambience
The menu is very varied and inexpensive! The ambience is also very pleasant and beautifully decorated, absolutely recommended!
We were there at noon to try the Thai Meatballs, which are really incredibly delicious. We can also recommend the shakes and smoothies.

Too Good.
Very enjoyable. Nice people, chill vibes, clean facilities, well thought safety procautions, easy self-check in in the evening and good music. Peofessionals ✨️

Not up to expectations
First impression of the hostel was nice. Friendly staff welcomed me in and asked me to join them to taste local cheese in the common area.
However, the devil lies in details. There were prohibition and instructional signs everywhere and it made me feel like they don't trust their guests with common sense. Sure, you can have a sign to remind people to turn off lights when they leave the room, but not 3 of them in the same spot. And there were signs (not in a friendly tone) threatening with fines if you did or didn't do something. Not a nice atmosphere. Mostly cleanliness was on a good level, but my bed sheets had stains, as did the mattress above me. My locker was also broken, but the staff guy came to fix it (although I didn't fully trust that it's as secure as before anymore). There was a nightclub downstairs and the music could be clearly heard on a weekend night even to the upper floors, to the extent that it was hard to sleep.
There was a small library corner on my floor, but it mainly had old Latvian language books and a few brochures. Breakfast was just free Turkish coffee (diy).
Also, everyone was having a dinner together, including the staff, and since I wasn't invited (although I was sitting in the common area) I assumed that you had needed to sign up for it or something, but later someone came in and the staff asked him to join but still not me
I like that they have yoga mats in the common area, but the room is too small to do a yoga practice without being in someone's way and the common area opens only at 8am, so early birds don't really benefit from that.
