Location «Summer Hostel» is located in South Goa. This hostel is located in 21 km from the city center. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hostel — Palolem Beach, Butterfly Beach and Agonda Beach.

Good

Room/bed/shower were clean. Slept comfortably. A nice, calm hostel. Perfect if you want to meet other people. Nice ambiance in the evening. Not a party hostel which is good. Staff is nice and helpful. You can do laundry for 100 roupies (half a basket) or 200 roupies (full basket). Good decent Breakfast with coffee/tea included. Very close to the beach. I would definitely go back there :)

Really Cool Place

Room: I took a bed in 8 bed dorm. Bed had lockers to keep your back packs.Room has windows, so you will get sunlight in day time. It's located midway in Palolem and Patnem Beaches. Beaches are at walk able distance from the hostel(10 mins walk). Nearby market is like 5 mins away. You can rent bikes from nearby shops. Also liquor shop was adjacent to the hostel, so if you want to buy liquor at cheaper rates, you can buy it from there. Bathroom was neat and clean and had liquid soaps. No towels were provided. they charged Rs 50 for locks. So if you are planning to go there, I would suggest to bring your own locks.
WiFi was fluctuating inside rooms, but it worked fine in the common area.
Personally I found this hostel pretty good. Crowd was mostly of foreigners from different countries.I had good experience with those guys.

Everything you want in a Hostel and more!

I had an exceptional time at Summer! The people here are marvelous! The volunteers I interacted with were really helpful and enthusiastic. Special mention to Sally! I had booked a private room, and I was more than pleased with it! The breakfast is good enough, the samosas are really good, but I did miss my chai. But that I think is because this hostel caters to foreigners mainly (95 percent of their guests). Also on the same note, I find it strange that they insist on passports for Indian guests too! Its unheard of!

The best hostel experience!!

I’ve been travelling to Goa for the past 15 years and have been staying in hostels for at least the last 5 years. My experience at summer was just amazing! The rooms/dorms are super comfy, the staff super polite, helpful, just amazing human beings!!! I don’t think I’ve ever been as sad as I was while leaving from summer if I compare it to my previous experiences...
I truly feel that this was one of my best hostel experiences in Goa by far and look forward to visiting summer again. I’ve also stayed at the jungle (Vagator) and can vouch that it’s just as good as summer, if not better.
The hostel crowd is doing an awesome job and if you really want to experience hostel life in Goa, I would strongly recommend that you visit any of the hostel crowd properties and I promise, you will not be disappointed!!!
Thanks again @ the hostel crowd and the staff @ summer for making my trip so special. Love you guys to the moon and back!

Lovely hostel although water issues

SUMMER is a lovely hostel - clean spacious room and good AC. Unfortunately I experienced a leak in my room damaging some shoes though and we were without water for two days. A great stay other than that!
