super cute little hotel with friendly hosts
A small, charming hotel with a great view of the Nile and surrounded by greenery. The hosts are super warm and open. Always up for a chat in between. The billiard games or sitting together by the campfire in the evenings made the stay even better. The rooms had everything you needed, and the pool was also cool. I would definitely come back and recommend this hotel to everyone.

My stay at the Nile Compound Hotel was amazing! The hotel is a garden oasis surrounded by the beautiful farmland of Luxor. I could not have picked a better place to stay.
Mr Yousef and the rest of the staff were spectacular! Mr Yousef arranged my transportation to several sites and always made sure I was enjoying myself. The food, especially the breakfast, were always delicious and they even gave me a breakfast before my early morning flight back to Cairo.
I am so glad I chose to stay at this location and it even helped cement Luxor as my most favorite part of my trip. It will definitely be an experience I won’t forget and I will make sure to stay here again when I return to Egypt.

Fantastic stay - 100% recommended
Located in the midst of the banana plantations, with an off the beaten track feel, this is place is close to all historical sites in Luxor. Lush vegetation in the gardens, very pleasant pool area, good and extensive breakfast, smiling and friendly staff, spacious rooms,... I can't think of anything that wasn"t perfect. I also met the owner, who is a fantastic person. Built this thing from scratch with patience, very hard work, the right values and respect for nature and local community.
Food is organic and at fair prices. You can visit banana island by foot. A great place at the conrinche next to the Nile is 'Nile freedom restaruant'. Locals also come there and there's a good mix with tourists. Very good value for money.
Rent a bike for 5usd/day here and go early to Medinet Habu and the Memnon colosses. On the peacefull dirt roads through the local village and the beatiful Nile countryside, you are treated with plenty of air balloons colouring the blue skies at sun rise... Truly amazing vibes!
Locals are friendly and the street dogs are harmless. You can ask the reception for a tuk tuk to the ferry spot, it takes about 10mins. By bike it's about 15min I would guess. I liked it more on the bycicle... taking the scenery in... The public ferry to the east bank for the temples there is maybe €0.50 but only runs every 45mins or so, a private boat works for around €2, depending on your negotiation skills.
Coming back to this place after visiting one of the many historical highlights, feels like coming home. You'll feel relaxed and safe, 100% garanteed ;)

Moment of calm to get back together
Very surprising place, the further you go the more wonderful it is.
The view, the decor, the garden, the food, the multitude of terraces that allow to take pictures of the Nile on one side and the Valley of the Kings on the other, the warm welcome and very helpful, everything was perfect in this quiet break compared to Luxor

We had a great stay, and the place offered an authentic experience on the banks of the Nile. We truly appreciate Mohammad for taking such good care of our breakfast needs and for arranging everything seamlessly.
