Very good hostal in Canoa look no further

This is a very clean and beautiful hostal. Our experience was excellent after coming from one of the worst experience with another hostal in Canoa. The room is very clean, there is a TV and lots of wood/bamboo everywhere. Bathroom clean with hot shower and clothes hangers. On the first and second floors, there is a shared balcony with hammocks and cotton canvas hanging chairs to relax and look at the ocean. The ladies at the reception were helpful and nice, they even ordered coffee for us from the beach bar in front and we stayed in the reception of the hostal where they have beautiful wood tables and chairs along with hammocks. 100% recommended.

No Privacy, rooms are lacking,no value for the money

Terrible place to stay, poor quality and no privacy in the rooms. The construction of the building is so poor that you cannot have a normal conversation in your room because the next room will hear everything !.The owner of this dumb place is from Chile, he worked in Commercial Air Conditioning Systems but he doesn't know the basics of the hospitality industry. The windows don't have any screens to keep out the insects and the rooms have no furniture with drawers, no place to hang your clothes. The quality is crappie and very cheap. The worst place to stay. No value for the money. You have to practically beg for room service !

Good price and hotel but service is not very good

The hotel is very nice and comfortable, the price is ok compare to the nearest hotels. Although the service is not good, we had to ask in the lobby to clean our room and they did it but late in the afternoon, and every time we went back in the evening we had to wait and knock the door many times before somebody open the door.

Looks are deceiving!

A bit newer establishment, so it's clean-feeling. I had a room on the top floor with an excellent balcony and view. There is nothing to the rooms, however. A small bookshelf to put folded clothes on. My biggest complaint is no bedspread or comforter! I literally had only a flat sheet to cover up with at night. Additionally, the walls separating rooms are nothing but particle board. I had neighbors on my 2nd night and could hear everything said in their room. It may look nice on the surface, but the quality is crap. Definitely not worth the nightly rate - way overpriced!

New place on the beach

This is a good priced hostel on the beach. We had a room facing the ocean and the breezes were great and they have a large shared balcony with hammocks. Room was a good size. Everything was clean. I doubt you could bet the price for oceanfront. Breakfast is not included. The man was helpful at the front desk.
