Oasis on the edge of the national park

We stayed for 2 nights at Isunga Lodge and felt very comfortable. In the middle of nature with breathtaking views (even to the glacier in the best weather) and yet so after at the national park. Ideal camps for excursions.
The staff was very friendly and the lodge is really a place to stay and find peace.
Our shoes and equipment were cleaned free of charge after the hike in the jungle.

One of the most beautiful lodges in Uganda!

This lodge is a true gem. It is fantastically located above with a great view into the valley; the Kibar Forest is an absolute treasure trove of animals and plants. The lodge is beautifully designed, with very spacious rooms. Great service, excellent food!

Excellent lodge with amazing views

Had three nights here as a base for Kibale NP and chimp tracking (just a short 20 minute drive).
The rooms are very well appointed bungalows with plenty of space, good bed, and a hot shower. Perched on a steep hillside they have far reaching views across the forest, and even have WiFi.
The communal areas are again very well furnished with amazing views, the food is top notch and the staff excellent. The small pool and gardens are a Mecca for wildlife.
If you’re coming to Kibale I’d really recommend this lodge.

Beautiful Lodge

This lodge is situated just above the Kibale National Park with a fantastic view. The staff is extremely accommodating, the lodging is safe and comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique stay in the area. We stayed for two days and were fed fantastically the entire time. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner leave nothing to be desired with a variety of options and tons of delicious local food to pick from. Watching the sunrise over Kibale was a treat each morning, the pool feels secluded and tucked away (though right on the path to the lodging), and the fire pit was a nice treat each evening. Would absolutely stay here again!

A real crush!

We stayed one night in this lodge for which we had a real crush!
We were greeted very nicely by Karen, the owner, and one of her employees who gave us a little briefing on the operation of the hotel. The dining room and outdoor dining area are superb with incredible views of the Kibale Forest! There is also a swimming pool and beautiful gardens, as well as a lit fireplace in the evening.
We had the lovely sunbird bungalow with private access and terrace. From here too, we had an incredible view of the forest, not to mention the many butterflies all around our cottage!
The superb bungalow consists of the bedroom with a large comfortable double bed surrounded by a mosquito net, a dressing room, a safe, a living area with tea, coffee and filtered water, the bathroom with a large shower, a toilet and a sink with everything you need for toilet! The view from the windows of the bungalow is also amazing! And what a calm!
At meal level, the staff took into account our food preferences. Everything was delicious and Service impeccable!
We enjoyed it so much that we would have loved to have the time to stay a second night but unfortunately it was not possible in our itinerary...
In short, do not hesitate! You will not be disappointed!
