The highlight was the amazing breakfast buffet

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and felt comfortable throughout. Our room was quiet and bright, even though the hotel is located by the road, and the spacious bathroom was a great plus.
The highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast: a rich and fresh selection of high-quality products, including delicious mountain cheeses, a variety of breads and pastries, and different milk options. Everything was beautifully presented, and the staff at breakfast were especially friendly and attentive.
The location is also very convenient. With the bus stop right in front of the hotel, you can reach the Thun lido or the Thunerseespiele in just one stop. Public transport is easy to use thanks to the guest card.

Good value for money

We spent one night at the Hotel Holiday during a visit to the Lake Thun stage.
The rooms are very clean and spacious. The price is reasonable for the location. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The breakfast that is included with the overnight stay was VERY good. This surprised us. No wishes were left unfulfilled.
The negative points are very manageable:
- no air conditioning in the room, it was extremely hot
- very narrow parking spaces
- bathroom with a smoked glass door; a toilet should have a solid door and not glass

Catastrophe

The hotel is not the youngest anymore. The terrace had many leaves on the ground and made an unprofessional impression. The reception was friendly, unfortunately that was all. The elevator is not wheelchair accessible - too small. The rooms are basically okay, beds way too soft and it was too warm. You cannot sleep with the window open because of the street. The shutter could not be lowered because the crank had been removed. The faucet handle broke off and no one could be organized to repair it. Received a different room, we then received an even worse option. A wasp nest in the shutter box, in front of the only window. Instead, a fan was set up, circulating the warm air... great.
I would not pay CHF 50.00 per night for this hotel. Simply a rip-off and a waste of the time I spent here.
I also feel sorry for the employees; they are not even to blame for the fact that the owner of this building sits in Dubai and does not care about anything. The main thing is that the money keeps flowing....

Price-performance ratio is not right

Unfortunately, we were not at all satisfied with the room and also reported this accordingly at the reception. In the room, there were insects in the bed and in the bathroom as well as on the ceiling.
When did the last official inspection take place?
Apparently there were too few remote controls for the TVs and the staff unceremoniously took ours from the room.
The staff was very unfriendly
We documented all defects with photos and already reported them at the reception. Unfortunately, there was no reaction from the hotel management and we were told "that's just how it is"

We arrived at 21.00 oclock the room wasn’t ready,it wasn’t clean so we stayed 20 minutes until they cleaned it
