Disappointing
Mazot “le Roi”:
The heating in the bathroom does not work, difficult the temperature is freezing when we settle. We end up not using the shower or bathtub when they were particularly close to our hearts (not insignificant selling point).
The Jacuzzi is also broken down. The water is very hot and the view superb, but the nozzles do not work.
- The use of the SPA (jacuzzi + sauna) is charged 50.- . At check-out, we mention the hot tub failure and the host admits without embarrassment to be informed (too bad it is not mentioned during the booking). However, he agrees not to charge us for the hot tub.
I will describe the breakfast buffet as “acceptable”. A good choice of breads, dried meats, cheeses, cereals and local jams/honey. The host takes orders the day before which bread we would like to have in the morning, as well as some pastries (mini croissants/bread with shock). Nevertheless, the breakfast time is from 9am to 11am, far too late for skiers. What's the point?
We stayed on an impression of having been duped by false promises and luxurious images of their site. It’s hard to understand the amount of rave reviews about this property.

Disappointing welcome
-When booking we had specified a baby bed, as there was none when we arrived we repeated the request to the receptionist for the possibility of bringing us one. Back in the evening, still nothing. Finally after 9:00 p.m., when baby was already sleeping, we knocked to give us a bed that we preferred to install ourselves given the time and the state of the receptionist who clearly questioned us... this already caught our attention late arrival.
-Check in at 3:00 p.m.… several arrivals waiting like us. Around 3:10 p.m., the receptionist finally arrives, very quickly in her car, dusting... barely apologizing... an unacceptable welcome given the price and the standard. We reach our location around 4:00 p.m.
-we asked for access to the spa which was included, as it was available, the receptionist told us to send her a message and that we could go there whenever we wanted. SMS sent around 8:00 p.m., we never got a response.
There is still so much to say about this more than disappointing welcome... we tried to contact the manager, but he ultimately did not take any further interest in our calls so that we could tell him about this experience.
An intolerable set of slip-ups at this price!
