Great Location and Service, but Overpriced for the Experience
The road to the hotel is a bit challenging, but any vehicle can make it. The triple room is small, but the washrooms, rooms, and other areas are clean and well-maintained. The caretakers provide excellent hospitality, service, and food, which adds to the overall experience.
The location is convenient, being close to attractions like Knuckles Forest, hiking areas, Pitawala Pathana, and Riverston. The weather can be slightly cold, so it’s good to come prepared.
On the downside, the price feels higher than expected for this location. However, it ’s a great option for a group stay.

Avoid this place
Place was dusty. Rooms were ok, but showers didn't have hot water, and the water flow was horrible that we had to keep turning the tank on, while the caretaker kept switching it off. Food was tasteless. tiny chicken pieces, most of which were bones were swimming in the curry which didn't have any coconut milk, all curries were the same. Although it says can accommodate 12, they lack basic things like drinking glasses, dessert cups etc.
the manager lahiru spoke so well and promised all the above before receiving the full payment, but once we went there, he spoke so differently and didn't seem to bother about any of it, and also kept giving excuses for everything.
the only good thing was that the location was great, close to most of the attractions. This place is not maintained so avoid at all costs. not worth at all for the money paid.

Simpel maar doeltreffend...
Deze kleine Hideaway is voor 1 overnachting om het Pitawala Trail te bezoeken een goed alternatief. Het eten was OK en de mensen vriendelijk. Het uitzicht is mooi en je kan vanuit je kamer zo naar het dichtbij gelegen beekje lopen.
