Vatican Style

Excellent stay and ideal location for the Vatican
The room was a good size, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The air conditioning was outstanding, which was invaluable during the intense heatwave that coincided with our visit. After a day exploring Rome, coming back to a cool room was a real luxury.
The location is excellent with just a two-minute walk from the walls of Vatican City. Around the corner, there is a great selection of restaurants, ranging from authentic local eateries to more tourist-focused options, so there was always plenty of choice.
The shower was excellent, all the amenities worked perfectly, and we particularly appreciated having both a small fridge and a coffee machine in the room, allowing us to enjoy a proper espresso whenever we wanted.
One unexpected highlight was the fantastic pizza al taglio just beneath the Accomodation. You could choose your pizza by the slice and pay by weight, and it quickly became our daily breakfast. Many locals used it as a pit stop and while there we also heard the local pharmacy were ordering take-away. It was the perfect way to start each morning and really was the cherry on top of an already excellent stay.
Despite being in such a central location, the room was impressively quiet. We experienced no traffic noise at all, which can often be an issue with accommodation in Rome.
Check-in and check-out were both straightforward and efficient. Overall, Vatican Styles is a comfortable, well-maintained, and ideally located base for exploring Rome, and we would gladly stay here again.

Basic value for money hotel
I stay in many hotels for work and leisure and it is 3 star at best, the room we stayed in was adequate, quite small with few, dated facilities. The bathroom is modern and well equipped and the air conditioning is excellent, some of the best I've encountered.
The hotel itself is quirky and once you've found your way to reception, not as easy as you'd expect, the few staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
The lights are annoying and potentially dangerous as the only way we could turn them off was to remove the key card and therefore cut all electricals, maybe there's another way, but if there is it's not immediately obvious.
The other dangerous aspect was the step coming out of the bathroom, not easy to navigate with no lights .
