No breakfast

Nice place. Centrally located. Friendly owner. But no breakfast!
I was there for 2 nights.
Checkout time is strictly enforced. Ok to leave luggage in the apartment but need to be out of the room by 11:00.
I will stay there again. I recommend it! Even without breakfast and with strict checkout

Spotless!

We spent 5/6 days at casa alba and had a really good time. The owner, Giuseppe, helped carry out bags up the stairs and spoke to us for about 30 minutes recommending restaurants, attractions and other ideas to make our trip better! The B&b is spotless, really clean and tidy. So was our room, although it was small it was a perfect size for us especially since we were only using it as a base. The stairs were not a problem for us but if you have mobility issues I would not recommend staying here. Only problem we felt was that Giuseppe arrived at the B&b very early in the morning and began cleaning and making breakfast for other guests, this often woke us up pretty early and we found it unnecessary to start cleaning that early and when all guests are still sleeping. However, that did not put us off and we would stay again!

A great place to stay!

I needed a place to stay for one night and I was fortunate to book one night at the B&B Casa Alba. When I was walking to the bed and breakfast, I wasn't sure of the location. However, when I called, one of the owners gave me great directions in English and even stayed on the phone until I arrived. The other owner provided very detailed information, which was useful for my stay, including dinner recommendations and a map. The rooms are clean and comfortable, free Wi-Fi is also available. The steps were not a problem for me, but be advised that there are about 53 steps to climb to get to the B&B. However, this is a great place to stay and I plan on using this centrally-located B&B in the future. Convenient location, very clean, comfortable and excellent customer service! Thanks Casa Alba!

Location, location...

Great location, right in the heart of Lucca. Can be a little noisy at night from bars and foot traffic down below. I had a room with a private external bathroom which was close and very clean. The host Guiseppe was very welcoming and helpful. His recommendation for dinner was perfect and I was lucky to eat there as it was turning customers away all night. After checkout I was able to leave my luggage behind, while I still had some more hours of exploration to do in Lucca.

Convenient and Curteous.

We booked this last minute while visiting Lucca. The owner was quick to meet us and provide us information. Breakfast was provided for a small fee which we declined since we had a early departure the next morning. The location of this B &B is close to many good restaurants and stores. Very nice town and I would return to this B & B if I had the pleasure to visit again.
