Great value, clean and cozy!

I have stayed at this establishment on several occasions. It is centrally located in the heart of the city and in an architecturally beautiful building. The proprietor is a wonderful lady named Fernanda. She is terrifically helpful and kind towards visitors. I highly recommend this place when visiting Lecce.

Disappointing

Both rooms available were foul-smelling. One smelled of smoke, the other of bleach. The room is truly poorly maintained. It has nothing nice about it. Everything was sealed because of the cockroaches; it was not possible to open the shutters to go out onto the balcony.

Disappointment without refund.

I stayed at this property booking through Booking, but unfortunately the experience was far below expectations.
At 14:00, having received the keys, we went to the room which was on the second floor of a building without elevator, detail not clearly marked in the description. The furniture was paltry and lacked even a wardrobe.
During the stay, in 'inspecting the room and the bathroom (in my opinion), there was a deficiency in' overall hygiene, so much so that I forced myself to leave at 17:00.
I was denied reimbursement for the room because it was used for a few, served precisely to ascertain what was specified.
Disappointing experience.

Nightmare hotel is an understatement

The structure has only one advantage, being in the center. For the rest it seemed to be in an episode of "nightmare hotel". The rooms are smelly and dirty ... and I'm not just talking about dust (see photo). Our triple room, but very small, is equipped with a sink in front of the bed and a fridge, which are also very dirty. The small bathroom, without a bidet, with a super dirty shower (let's not talk about the mirror), is just the beginning. The lady kindly allowed us to leave our luggage before the time we were due to enter, thanks to this we were able to notice that the blankets between one guest and another in the room had not been changed. When we pointed this out to her, she apologized and changed them for us. If we hadn't entered before, we wouldn't have noticed and we would have slept with already used blankets. The only clean thing are the sheets and towels, because they use an external laundry service that washes, irons and bags the linen before delivering it. The rest of the cleaning is done personally by the owner, who has no idea how to make a room clean. We had to borrow the vacuum cleaner to suck up tufts of hair and stuffed animals from the freshly washed floor. Then she "kindly" offered to vacuum again herself. On the other hand, Lecce is beautiful, perhaps rely on another structure for your stay.

Perfect holiday at the Abaca Bed and Breakfast in Lecce

Fernanda is a fabulous woman, she retains within herself an uncommon elegance, she represents the friendliness, kindness and hospitality that every person dreams of when going on holiday. With my husband we had to make a sudden change of destination to Lecce and Fernanda immediately made herself available to welcome us, she made us feel at home. The bed and breakfast is in an ancient building in the center. The rooms are clean, fragrant. We can't wait to return. Highly recommended.
