WEEKEND IN CASTRO

Weekend in Castro, we stayed at this property that I highly recommend. Very clean and, for me who are allergic to dust, perfect in all respects. The owner is welcoming and very precise, the place is wonderful. We ended up in two rooms "Lu sole" and "Lu mare" with balcony overlooking the sea, beautiful. Breakfast is delicious and served on a veranda terrace overlooking the sea. There are no negative points of any kind.

...Just spent 8 days, enthusiastic about the place!
the b&b is strategically located in Castro.
Spotless rooms with sea views, delicious sweet and savory breakfasts all prepared by Rosanna.
Cakes, pasticciotti, focaccia, biscuits, and the fantastic mandarin jams she prepared, a panacea for the palate!
The very kind lady and always ready to recommend places to visit...
We had a great time.
We will be back.

Overnight in the magnificent Castro

Six friends for a walk, we found ourselves booking at this property.
We found ourselves divinely as regards both the rooms and the breakfast.
The breakfast was nothing short of fantastic as the hostess the night before asked us if we wanted sweet or savory breakfast.
Ah, our sweet breakfast request made us find pasticciotto, tart and donut made personally by her and also homemade jams.

How to be in the family

The B&b l'Orizzonte is a simply lovely place. We felt at home, pampered by the care and maternal kindness of Mrs. Rosanna who follows the structure with a care and passion for her work out of the ordinary: the cleanliness is impeccable, every corner smells good and breakfast boasts unmissable sweet and savory local specialties (such as forgetting the excellent pasties and hot croissants, or apple pie and homemade jams!).
All to be enjoyed in front of a breathtaking view. Having a small child of one year, we were able to take advantage of the hob for the preparation of baby food and milk, which helped us a lot. Really a beautiful experience that we feel to heartily recommend to those who will visit the beautiful Castro.

Rosanna is a star!

So this was the cheapest place we stayed in by more than half and yes it wasn't as luxurious as others but still a very comfortable, clean stay with everything needed. Actually it we thought it was worth more than the £45 we paid. Large room with actually the comfiest bed we slept in in Puglia. Huge bathroom and a lovely balacony. Everything was spotlessy clean. The best part of all is Rossana, a wonderful host, a bit of a language barrier but we still managed to have conversations in our own languages and we really felt she wanted to take care of us. Her breakfasts were delcious, one of the best we had and the breakfast room had beautiful views of the coast. This place far exceeded my expectations for the price. Yes its cheap and cheerful but really don't need anything more than a clean room, comfy bed and yummy breakfast. Thank you so much for a lovely stay and a wonderful welcome. We also like thr location, 2 min walk to the old town and only 20 min walk to the grotto. Quiet area and lovely to see the nonnas out chatting on the street, sewing and peeling veg. And the all old gents meeting in the centre for a discussion. Felt like a real slice of Italian life.
