An enchanted place

First time at La Mortilla. Far from everything, but at the same time with some of the most beautiful archaeological and naturalistic sites in Sicily close at hand, it is an enchanted place where silence and nature reign. Comfortable rooms, a beautiful swimming pool with an amazing view, a well-kept and fragrant garden, exquisite hospitality from the owners who are always available and generous with advice. Magnificent atmosphere at sunset while enjoying an aperitif on the terrace.
Super recommended, one of those places where you feel at home and can't wait to return (and in fact we have found that many guests spend their holidays there every year).

Pure pleasure in the secret sacred Sicily

Short walk from the Magna Grecia astonishing Akragas Temple Valley, portrayed by Goethe, Dumas and de Stael you can have the luck -or the genius- of an unforgettable “sejour” at La Mortilla.
Casa la Mortilla as the hosts use to say!
Francesca and Lorenzo will surround you with sicilian taste and ancient Roman touch from their mother town, Roma.
A philological restoration work led to this place as you see it today in respect of tradition and in application of the most up-to-date confort devices.
A botanical garden surrounds the House and you can admire from the patio the olive grove as far as the eye can see.
But the best to experience is not even the suspended-in-the-view pool sunset, but the cosy atmosphere of high standard and family remembrances that the hosts will depict for you while they cook you the daily fresh-from-the-market delicacies.
360’ panoramic view, fresh breeze and quiet atmosphere you’ll never forget!

Fantastic Sicilian paradise

We can't recommend this accommodation enough. Francesca and Lorenzo have perfected the stay for their guests, letting you have your own space or indeed getting as involved as you want (we could chill by the pool all day but also we made pasta etc with them). This is a great place to relax, unwind, learn more about Sicilian and Italian culture, meet new people and enjoy the gorgeous Sicilian landscape (sea views from the hill tops) and fantastic weather. Really great experience you should try for yourself. We hope to return in the future!

Una cura per l’anima

La bellezza struggente di un tramonto, la campagna circostante e, in fondo, il mare sono nelle mani di sapienti artigiani dell’ospitalità, Francesca e Lorenzo, che vi coinvolgeranno nel loro progetto di vita che, seppure per poco, sentirete di abbracciare con loro. Lorenzo, abilissimo cuoco all’occorrenza, vi farà assaporare prelibatezze accompagnate da un buon calice di vino, e Francesca saprà intrattenervi come l’amica di sempre che non vedi da un po’. La Mortilla è ristoro per gli occhi e per l’anima, adesso non mi tocca che fare il conto alla rovescia in attesa del prossimo tramonto.

Herzliche Gastgeber in einem grandiosen Anwesen

Großartige Unterkunft. Sehr liebevolle und bodenständige Gastgeber mit einem wunderbaren Anwesen. Umfangreiches Frühstück und auch sonst mangelt es einem an nichts. Zimmer sehr schön, sauber und komfortabel. 360° Panoramablick mit Infinitypool und Meerblick (in der Ferne). Wir hatten ein paar tolle Tage und können die Unterkunft nur weiter empfehlen ! Grazie mille !!!
