Ups and downs: Friendly staff, but some serious shortcomings
• Central location with numerous shopping opportunities and several good restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
• Friendly and helpful staff.
• Comfortable beds that you can sleep well in – provided the street noise allows it.
Room for improvement:
• The breakfast was okay, but overall it did not convince me.
• The parking situation is difficult: For around 100 rooms, only about 35 parking spaces are available.
Negative:
• The room amenities no longer meet today's expectations. There is neither air conditioning nor a refrigerator. The bathroom lacks hooks for hanging towels, and the exhaust fan either did not work at all or only insufficiently. In addition, the shower stall is very small.
• The cleanliness left something to be desired – upon arrival, there were clumps of hair in the sink.
• Rooms facing the street are hardly suitable for sleeping with the window open due to the traffic noise.
• Extending the stay by one night as well as issuing a company invoice apparently overwhelmed the booking system or the staff. The process was unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming.

Next to the Municipal Theatre
The room we booked was manageable, but this came as no surprise. On the other hand, cleanliness and reclining comfort as well as a fast check-in and check-out process were important. This was all given. Therefore and we also take the friendliness at the reception with us: A good impression!
From the busy road, when the windows are closed, you don't notice anything. The hotel is located right next to the Stadttheater of Solingen. The immediate vicinity has seen better times in the past. But you can discover many interesting little things. So: Let's go and open your eyes!

Very good
A bar (which we have not tested) and a small range of goods in a kind of "mini - supermarket" opposite reception are available.
Parking - availability is somewhat limited.
The breakfast buffet is really very good and rich.
We will definitely come back.
