Recommended restaurant

We ate on our Rheinsteig hike in the restaurant and were positively surprised. The Mood is quaint, the service super friendly and the deer goulash was very good, abundant from the crowd and the value for money top! I can't say anything about the overnight stay, but if you like game, you should check out this restaurant.

Poor food - we didn't stay in the hotel.

We had a bowl each of french onion soup - hot sea-water and half-cooked onions with congealed melted cheese floating on top. Then I had a really good pizza - ruined by the table-spoons of salt which had been added. My friend had what was alleged to be saumagen - actually processed hamburgers.
The beer and wine were fine, as far as I could tell; the salt made it difficult.

Tiny room, no elevator, no creditcards, no parking, noisy

We stayed there in September, -more correctly we tried to stay there. The room was extremely small, the bath even smaller. 3rd floor and no elevator. As we had a long drive behind us, we went to bed at 2100. No sooner had we gone to bed, the PARTY started: The boardwalk and the Bar on 1st floor was the place for the party. Our room was directly above and facing the boardwalk. We were very tired and tried to get to sleep, we assumed the party would stop at 2300, than we hoped for 2400, than 0100 at which time an accordion joined the part outside our room. Finally at 0200 we had it, we had not slept one minute and dressed to leave. By the way, the stairway was the place for guests in the Bar to smoke, consequently it worked as a smokestack ending up in our room. At 0200 we left, and made it clear we would not pay anything for all this nuicance, he could send the bill to us if he felt so. The result? The owner sent the Police after us! Well, they were understanding and agreed with us. What a horrible place. Do NOT stay there.

Je wordt naar een ruimte gebracht aan de overkant van de weg
Vies gebouw, ook binnen, wordt nog verbouwd. Het een zooitje. Deur sluit bijna niet. Wifi doet het niet. Radiatoren zijn er niet. Gordijnen ontbreken. De pijpjes steken zo uit de wand.
Toilet en douche zijn wel schoon.
Kost niet veel maar als ik dit had geweten. Na een klacht van mij kreeg ik wel in hetzelfde gebouw een andere kamer. Wel heel vriendelijke mensen en het restaurant is top en gezellig. Misschien zijn de kamers daar beter

Kurztrip

Wir hatten eine von den 2 ca. 500 m entfernte Ferienwohnungen im alten Kino. Riesengroß, sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet. Bettwäsche,
Handtücher, Föhn, Kosmetikspiegel vorhanden. Riesiges, bequemes Bett. Küche haben wir genutzt. Für 12€ gibt es ein leckeres Frühstück im Weinstübchen. Bahn hört man kaum, da das Haus in der Mitte steht. Vom Balkon Blick auf den Rhein und die Burg.
