Nice hostel nice area

had a really good time here :)
the building is pretty and my room was clean and comfortable. Really mice location, bunch of cool stuff really near and also a short walk from a train station which links you to everything.
Took off a point because it can be pretty noisy, my room was all my friends so it wasn't too annoying but for me anyway getting on and off the top bunk was loud and would wake people up in the middle of the night, and you can hear people in other rooms (doesn't effect sleep much as there is a policy to be quite after 10).
Overall had a good time would recommend :)

You’re right, our area is full of cool spots to explore, and it’s super convenient with the train station just a short walk away.
Thanks also for mentioning the noise — bunk beds and lively guests can sometimes make things a bit louder. We do have a quiet‑after‑10 policy, and we’ll keep an eye on how to make late‑night noise even less of an issue.

Poor service, not recommended

Super poor service, I preferred to pay 20€ in cancellation fees to leave this hostel and go to another one. Absolutely not recommended...
50€ for a 4-bed room... totally exaggerated for such a condition

Not satisfied!!!!

The air quality was poor. The bathrooms need upgrading. The folks at the reception need some manners.

Good hostel sometimes noisy

Good hostel with dormitories and single and double rooms. Generally shared. Can be very noisy depending on the client groups. Bicycle parking. Uneven welcome: between very friendly and service oriented and cold and haughty.

Danke für dein Feedback! Schön zu hören, dass dir unser Hostel grundsätzlich gefallen hat und du die verschiedenen Zimmeroptionen sowie den Fahrradparkplatz positiv erlebt hast.
Es tut uns leid, dass es während deines Aufenthalts zeitweise laut war – bei größeren Gruppen kann das leider manchmal vorkommen. Wir versuchen aber immer, darauf zu achten, dass es für alle Gäste angenehm bleibt.
Auch dein Hinweis zum Empfang ist uns wichtig. Unser Team besteht aus verschiedenen Kolleg*innen, und wir legen großen Wert auf einen herzlichen und hilfsbereiten Umgang. Wir besprechen dein Feedback im Team, damit wir hier künftig noch gleichmäßiger auftreten.
Vielleicht schaust du ja bei deinem nächsten Berlin‑Besuch wieder vorbei – wir würden uns freuen!

Nice base for visiting in this colourful area.

I had a nice single room on the 4th floor. There was no lift but it was ok with light bag. My room was spacious and had nice view to the yard. There were very basic, shared bathrooms by the hall. I got brekfast included in my booking and it was served in a cafe almost next door (I picked up the Berliner option, which included 2 bread rolls, some ham, cheese, butter, vegetables to put in them, some fruit and egg-mayonaise salad. And a cup of tea or coffee.) There was luggage room, where I could store my bag after check out. There was also a big nice lobby next to the reception.
The area outside of the hostel is very colourful, with lots of cafes and restaurants. I liked the vegan restaurant (Sunshine Vegan). The hostel was within short walking distance from the Festsaal Kreuzberg, a venue with concerts and such. There are quite door public transport connections in the area, and the East Side Gallery is really nice, just accross the beautiful bridge. Also bohemian New Art Media Center is not very far.

thanks a lot for your lovely review! Great to hear you enjoyed your stay and liked your room, the view, and the breakfast at our café next door — sounds like you made good use of the neighborhood too!
You’re right, the area around us is super colorful and full of life — with plenty of cafés, restaurants (nice pick with Sunshine Vegan!), and venues like Festsaal Kreuzberg just a short walk away. The East Side Gallery and Treptower Park are close by as well, and if you're up for music or nightlife, you’ll find loads of clubs and concert halls within walking distance.
Thanks again for staying with us — hope to see you back in Berlin sometime!
