Thank you Maison du Comte
Maison du Comte is a delightful impressively high ceilinged large house built in the days when solid construction obviated the need for the air conditioning of modern times. It is furnished with a designer’s eye, and with interesting original art on the walls, Located on a very convenient tree-lined street, it has a garden and roof garden in which to relax. Every detail has been considered with care, not least the freshly prepared excellent breakfasts made by Elena. Guy, the owner, is from France, and also speaks fluent English as does Maye who was born in Mexico City. They both took a keen interest in what we hoped to see, and made excellent suggestions. During our stay we had a recurrence of a medical crisis, and the sense of familial support we had already experienced became outstanding, and from the whole team, as well as from the doctor who was immediately alerted. Our thanks to Elena, Fernando, and Oscar. I cannot speak too highly of Maison du Comte, and of Guy and of Maye. We have already booked to come back.

The best upscale B&B in Mexico City
We had a wonderful stay at Maison du Comte. It is important to note that this is a high end bed and breakfast rather than a traditional 5 star hotel, which is exactly what makes it so special. The hospitality is personal and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. We loved the beautiful look and feel of the house, which has been restored with great taste. The location is excellent for exploring the city while still enjoying a local neighborhood feel. The quality of the breakfast was a highlight of our stay and was prepared with such care. This is a true gem for travelers seeking a more intimate and upscale experience.

Go for the hospitality and the breakfast.
This tiny hotel is big on hospitality. Maye went above and beyond to make sure each day we spent in Mexico City exceeded our expectations. As others have mentioned, the breakfast is also a highlight. The location is great. The entire staff goes out of your way to ensure your stay is great and that you feel safe.

Sad to leave!
What a wonderful week we just had at Maison du Comte. The only problem is that I wish we were still there. We had a beautiful, spacious room on the ground floor nearest to the entrance and I joked with the owner and host that I was convinced they were putting sleeping pills in our food because I have not slept that good in YEARS.
Breakfast is served every morning and is absolutely delicious.
Guillermo, the host, treats you like you are staying at a 5 star hotel. He cannot do enough. He remembers what kind of coffee you like and that I did not want chili in my Mexican eggs (which I highly recommend). He can plan out your entire day if you wish and made us reservations without hesitation. Guillermo is professional, knowledgable and speaks perfect English (if needed). I was with my 17 year old daughter and we had such an enjoyable time. Truly one of the best hotel stays I have ever had.
Guy, the owner, is like an old friend and had recommendations and advice on just about anything you need or want. He's a very interesting gentleman and we had some good laughs during the week too. He also has two adorable dogs - Caramelo and Molly. I wanted them both to sleep in our room. :) There are fresh orchids and lilies sprinkled throughout that I couldn't help but stop and smell every day.
Housekeeping is also very special. She organized our room every day lining up our shoes and folding our clothes that we lazily laid around.
The security / doormen (not sure of their titles), Fernando and Oscar had big smiles each time we saw them and such sweet, gentle personalities.
The location is perfect. In the heart of Roma Norte near fabulous restaurants, fun shops and walking distance to so many fantastic places.
We also enjoyed meeting other guests in the communal breakfast room and exchanged email addresses.
Truly such a special place. Muchas gracias Guy, Guillermo, Fernando, Oscar, the housekeeping staff and cooks behind the scenes serving a beautiful breakfast every day. Until next time!

True hospitality at Maison du Comte
If you're looking for a sleek, modern accommodation in the bustling center of Mexico City, this is not it. If, however, you're looking for a small, art-filled, elegant older home with lots of character on a quiet, leafy street, this is it. Guy and his staff are exceptionally attentive and really take care of their guests. The wonderful breakfast is an added bonus. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Maison du Comte again.
