Le Pavillon

This hotel is situated right in the centre of Echternach at beginning of the pedestrian zone coming from the market place. The hotel is near the famous cultural sites, such as the Basilica, the Denzelt and the Abbey - and not far from the lake and the park. We have a nice terrace in the pedestrian zone in the summer month. The extremely comfortable rooms are of a high standard and our food, menus or à la carte, will attract you as much by its creativity as its delicacy. We guarantee our guests a warm welcome, excellent food, discrete service, high-quality rooms - briefly a convivial and cosy atmosphere. An array of activities including golf, tennis, fishing, hiking and water sports can be enjoyed in the surroundings of the accommodation. Please note that there is no lift in the building. Good Service.

The location is fantastic: in a nice street full of restaurants, shops and a lovely ice cream parlour diagonally across the street. The room is fine. Ours was on the 2nd floor. No elevator. But our suitcases were (without asking!) immediately lifted up in front of us. Nice service! Breakfast for 12.50 euros pp. You will be handed everything at your table, which you can 'normally' take at a buffet. But just for 2 people. Is more than enough. I'm fine with that. That way you don't have to throw much away. 2nd coffee is offered immediately as soon as they see that it is finished. Hotel with good value for money.

Not recommended

Because the restaurant of our choice was closed, we ended up here. On the outside it looked cozy but upon entering we were immediately directed upstairs, a bare dining room that is also intended for breakfast.
The service is downright poor. No personal attention to the customer. The tables were not set properly (e.g. napkins were missing and you had to ask for them yourself.) The food wasn't to write home about either. We both had mussels, one with curry and one with garlic, but the taste difference was barely palatable. The mussels were very small and faint in taste. The small bowl of fries that was served with it had hardly any taste and was limp. For the mussels and four glasses of wine we had to pay almost € 80.00. Far too much for the quality delivered and the lack of personal attention.

Decent sized and well maintained rooms, centrally located

This hotel does not have 24 hour reception, as stated clearly when we booked. However, when we informed them that we would be arriving outside the hours the reception was open, it was no problem, and they were open as we arrived. We even could already put our luggage in the room. Staff could be friendlier, but were conscientious about safety measures during the corona pandemic. Staff spoke at least 5 languages. The rooms were clean, and the hotel is very centrally located.

Do not recommend

I booked this hotel while I was on the road. At first, I didn’t see that they very specific check in time. I booked this place 1 hour before there check in time ended up. Clearly by mistake, because drive time to this location was more then 2,5 hours. When I realized that, I tried to call them couple times. They didn’t answer, and eventually I showed up at their door. No one open, lights were turned off, door locked. I had to cancel it to book another place. Even though it was a mistake, I was ok with some decent fees. Needless to say they charged me with full price of the stay.
After that I tried to reach them by phone to explain myself, but employee doesn’t speak English, so he just hangs up on me. I sent them a message using their “contact us” form, since they don’t have any email address. No answer either. Eventually customer service of “booking company” contacted them and told me that they have no interest to speak with me and also in returning any money to me.
Very disappointing and unsatisfying experience. Strongly do not recommend this place.

Very good quality of accommodation for the price paid

We booked this hotel after having made 30km Route in Mullerthal. In this 3* property we found very good quality of sleep and the delicious breakfast. All this at 50 euro per person. We didnt need more. Right in the city centre and very close to bars and pubs.
