The hotel is near the shuttle bus stop which is very convinent for you especially with the luggages. We stayed at the 2 bedroom suite which is very clean and perfect for our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 senior). It's walkable to the Great Wall and pretty near the Sun & Moon square where the light show and the Chinese opera are.

This place is magical ! You can't enter the premises directly. All private rides end at car park no.1 and you need to take internal shuttle bus. Once arrive inside, you need to go to a central office to register check in. Please get your entry ticket before hand (less hassle) or you can buy from the counter. Check in was 1500hrs and we deposited our luggage and they'll bring to hotel free of charge. Hotel was small and cozy 民宿 kind. Room was big and perfectly stocked in toilet too. Free tea. Gorgeous room slippers. Underground water fitted for drinking! Breakfast consisted pre order and buffet style. Nothing fancy and good enough. Room had water view too. Simply delightful! Love this stay!!!

This is an excellent hotel disguised as an old-timey inn straight out of a Chinese historical drama, very in keeping with the whole vibe of Gubei Water Town. Super clean, excellent beds and pillows, all the amenities including pretty embroidered slippers. Nice breakfast provided in the dining room. There’s a sign in the bathroom saying that the tap water is locally sourced from the mountains and pure enough to drink. I drank it and it was awesome!
The only downsides I can think of…though it had a nice view of the canal I couldn’t open the windows. There was no cupboard in the bedroom.

Nice inn located in Gubei Watertown. Located next to the waterway. Hotel outside is very busy, right in the central street but the room is quiet. Location is very central. Ticket to the watertown is included in the stay. Note that not all the hotel stay include the watertown access ticket. Hotel stay also includes Simatai Great Wall ticket but cable car ticket is separately purchased. Hotel price also includes discounted ticket to hot spring spa. Normal ticket is 300 yuan but hotel discounted ticket is 68 yuan. Highly recommended stay.
