Hotel Champlain
Nestled among 400-year-old buildings and ideally placed within the walls of Old Quebec, this exceptional boutique hotel provides state-of-the-art amenities, comfortable accommodations and is seconds from major attractions.

Front desk advised that room would be ready at 4:00. We went for a long walk around old Quebec and then returned to hotel around 4:30 but room was still not ready…we waited in lobby for another 20 minutes and finally were advised room was ready.
Hôtel is in perfect location but rooms could use an update. Toilet kept running and I had to remove cover from tank and reseat flapper…I advised front desk of this issue but nothing was done to repair the problem during our 2 day stay.

Standards have slipped. Stay elsewhere!
The good- clean, comfortable beds and quiet.
The bad- reception cold and not welcoming. I reserved a parking space in the special requests and when I arrived, there was no parking left. The man at reception told me I should’ve emailed or called to make sure! Who does that today??? After writing it in the requests? There was no apology either. It’s ok. We parked about 5 minutes away at the hotel’s other public parking but we had to carry our luggage so beware!
The breakfast was terrible. When you book direct, it’s free and when you book through the booking sites, it’s around 15$ per person. It is totally not worth it. Microwave eggs…the worst. No vegan milk or gluten-free options at all. One employee and the place jam packed with guests!
Honestly, next time we’ll stay at the Clarendon.

A Nice Spot To Land In A Good Location!
The hotel itself worked very well for our family group of 7. It is in a very old building so don't expect long hallways, etc.. We had good size room with a king bed and a sofa. It was comfortable and well maintained. Some of the furniture could use a bit of an upgrade but that did not affect our stay.
The staff, especially Tommy, was wonderful. Very accommodating.
Breakfast was included with our stay. It included continental plus eggs and a breakfast meat each day. There is a great coffee machine in the lobby that is available 24/7.
A word about the parking. When you make a reservation they tell you they have limited parking and that you need to reserve it in advance. Make sure that you do! We did and, although the parking is a bit quirky, it worked just fine.
