Service that makes you feel at ease

Located right in front of Setoda Port. The ferry arrives right away, so it's great.
The room is comfortable. The lighting and the sink on the porch are great.
Although you don't see the staff much outside of meals, you can feel the consideration in the soft aspects everywhere. In particular, the basket that you can take into the bath was a big hit with my family.
The famous lemon bath smelled good and was a great experience.
The dinner was quite a lot. The four kinds of sashimi were delicious. Maybe three kinds would have been good enough. Also, the simmered fish may be a matter of taste, but they could improve the broth a bit.
The breakfast was amazing. In particular, eating the horse mackerel with green laver was a fresh experience, and I'll try it when I get home. They suggested ways to eat it that I don't usually do. This is the best part of traveling.
The bread and coffee service was great. I was a little tired of eating only Japanese food, so I was happy. What's more, the variety of breads, including the donut bread, went well with the coffee.
Tsutsui has an excellent location near Koeido lemon cake shop, Okatetsu croquette shop, Kosanji temple, which has a 100% satisfaction rate, and Chidori octopus tempura bowl restaurant.
It's a bit far from Shimanami Dolce, so renting a bicycle and going for a bike ride will let you work up a nice sweat and enjoy some delicious gelato.
It's recommended if you're going to Ikuchijima.

Nice rest after biking from Onomichi to Sedota

It is a nice and classic hotel with public n private bath. It is a good opportunity to relieve any muscle sore from the bicycle ride. Right in front of the port for ferry to Onomichi. A chill common room but with old age charm in general. Around seven staff came to make bed for guests (with the bedding inside the wall cupboard), which was a surprise for me.

Lovely Ryokan

Great accommodation to be in, especially when you are exploring the Shimanami Kaido by bicycle. And what better to have a good soak in the onsen and have a hearty kaiseki for dinner. Try not to get a room at the top room just beside the onsen, can be quite noisy with guest visiting the onsen. They have 2 onsen, one on the top floor and the other is on the ground floor and they swipe the usage between (male and female) every half a day, so guest can enjoy both baths.

Amazing views, breakfast and value!

We stayed in one of the Japanese style rooms and it was great!
Beautiful views of the water.
Baths in the hotel were perfect after a day of cycling. Hotel staff looked after our bikes for the night.
The breakfast was varied and delicious.
While the hotel overall is a little dated, our room, the restaurant and the baths were great.
Good value too!
