The most relaxing hotel and beautiful view in Ireland , a real gem

This hotel has the most beautiful view in Ireland, a fab welcome, lovely staff, lovely bedrooms and the food was fantastic

Derrynane hotel

We had a meal at the restaurant in the Derrynane hotel which was the worst I have had in years. My wife had the fish and chips which was like something you would get out of the freezer in Tesco, I had the scallops which were dried out nuggets with some sort of jam and pureade mush. The seafood was strikingly bad given the location on the edge of the Atlantic ocean. We are typically happy with fresh simple local food, this was not that.
Only reason I gave two stars is the view and the staff (who were really lovely).

Hell

It’s taken me 18 years to build up the courage to write this and Ive had a lot of therapy sessions to get over this experience. From the filthy net curtains the freezing green elegy out door pool to the bunker pointed block work prison cells they call rooms. Not to mention the damp bluemolded playroom for kids.if you stay here it will be a life changing experience but not in anyway a positive one.Don’t put yourself through this hell hole

Great food!

Hotel is gorgeous! Has amazing views and tasty food since new owners took it over. They put a lot of money into doing it up. The food and views alone is worth a trip!! Great friendly staff.
