A second home in Greece
Some places stay especially in your heart – and for us, the stay with Eleni definitely belongs to that category. For many years, we have spent our summer vacation here and look forward every time to the familiar atmosphere and the warm care.
The accommodation is perfectly located for a relaxing vacation. The sea is reachable in a few minutes on foot, as are various restaurants, cafés, and shopping opportunities. The place itself is pleasantly quiet, authentic, and typically Greek – exactly this mix of coziness and original charm makes it so special for us.
The apartments are simple, but very clean and well-maintained. Everything you need for a relaxing vacation is provided. Anyone who prefers personal and family-run accommodation over a large hotel complex will feel very comfortable here.
The biggest highlight, however, is Eleni herself. With her warm-hearted nature, her helpfulness, and her open personality, she creates an atmosphere in which you feel welcome from the very first moment. She takes loving care of her guests, is always available with help and advice, and manages to make you feel almost like you are with friends.
For us, this place has become more than just accommodation – it has become a little home in Greece. The beautiful surroundings, the relaxed atmosphere, and above all Eleni's hospitality make every stay something special.
We are very happy to come back and can recommend this accommodation to anyone who would like to spend a quiet, authentic, and warm-hearted vacation in Greece.

Two stars and one the holder three!!!
For 10 years now I have been on vacation in Kakovato always being a guest in a house of friends.
This year, my husband and I decided to stay at this property and we booked through booking.
Luckily, Mrs. Eleni saved us from the trouble because as she informed us our one year old baby is impossible to stay in her double economy room because "there no child, nor dog does fit"!!!
In addition, children over seven years old stay in her accommodation because “the babies cry and bother others”!!!
Nevertheless it would accommodate us in a larger double or triple bedroom with the corresponding cost of course.
“In May when you made the reservation there was availability and you had to book another room.” Of course, in May we had made this effort, but he informed us with messages that there is no availability.
Is it silly for Mrs. Eleni to book the room for 15/8-17-8 that we wanted? Not of course!!! We were fools that insisted on giving our money to an accommodation that we did not deserve and we made the reservation online!!!
When we told her that we can leave the baby to Grandma and stay both of us in the room she agreed but as soon as we turned off the phone she canceled our reservation because she probably considered that she could not meet our high demands without knowing us personally!!!
Finally, we booked another accommodation in Kakovato which is worthy of our expectations on all levels!

In response to the owner the word “buried” I never used because I have an education. You again when you are criticized negatively you have a lot of fantasy!!!
I didn't mean to criticize because I've never done it before but you deserve it with the above!!! This is the first time I have encountered such treatment!!! You are my "good" phenomenon!!!
Additional cancellation action you made due to inability of hospitality as you stated and I accepted it necessarily in order not to lose my money. Thank you for your generosity!

Hot as hell...
First of all, the studios are not 6 minutes walk from the sea but 700 meters, measured, which means just 10 minutes walking, as we were also dragging children. If your physical condition along with children and carrying bags allows you to walk almost a kilometre at 35-40 degrees under the sun, you will have no problem. Secondly, the balcony as seen in the flattering photo is not private but you share it with 3 rooms so your private space is non existent. But all that could be fine and pretty much bearable. The worst is the air conditioning, it is a comparatively small unit which clearly does not cover the space, as the studio has 2 bedrooms in a row (which DO NOT have a door for isolation so if you are a family take that into consideration) and the cooling capacity is not enough for either space. When we arrived, the atmosphere was stuffy and we decided to leave the air conditioning on for as long as we went to the beach, hoping to create liveable conditions. When we returned at noon, the air conditioning was shut off and the atmosphere unbearable. We presumed the owner had shut it off so we asked her about this and were told that the air condition probably shut off "by itself" due to "frequent power failures". For once, we thought this could be the case and we considered that just tough luck. I have asthma, we tried to operate the air con for a while to cool the place down but it was impossible for me to stay in the room under these conditions so I had to sleep with all the windows open which means that we were severely bitten by mosquitoes as the windows do not have nets nor has the room the electrical anti-mosquito devices.
The next day we again let the air conditioning on and we returned again only to find it switched off! Once again we called the owner who, truly annoyed and with a very rude tone, informed us that she did not shut it off and insisted that there was a power failure again (what a coincidence)...However we were in a neighbouring building all day and did NOT notice any power failure ... I would accept her apology, saying for example that this was their eco policy or something, but do not like to be treated as stupid.
In any case, the bathroom is tiny and old-fashioned. Clearly the owners have refurbished with visible IKEA items what can be flattering in the photographs avoiding the essentials , such as the bathroom and air conditioning which is inadequate, old, noisy.
We did not use the kitchen because we could not stand the heat in the room.
If you want to visit, do it in the winter. In the summer there are far better options in the area.

Δεν περίμενα να πέσετε τόσο χαμηλά! Γιατί εσεις πέσατε χαμηλά όχι το κατάλυμα μας. Δυστυχώς κάτι τέτοιες κακοήθειες δεν μπορεί κανείς να τις αντιμετωπίσει κόσμια!
Σε άλλο ταξιδιωτικό οδηγό αναφέρετε ότι είμαστε 800 μέτρα μακριά από την θάλασσα. Αποφασίστε κάποια στιγμή για την ακριβή απόσταση. Εσείς δεν σέρνατε σίγουρα ούτε παιδιά ούτε τσάντες, ούτε περπατήσατε μέχρι την παραλία, γιατί τα παιδάκια σας, ζωή να έχουν, είναι μεγάλα και πηγαινοερχόσασταν με αυτοκίνητο. Έχω δει όμως πολλούς άλλος γονείς όλα αυτά τα χρόνια να παίρνουν μωρά με το καρότσι και να ευχαρίστιουνται και την βόλτα μέχρι την παραλία, αλλά να γυρίζουν και ευχαριστημένοι.
Το μπαλκόνι είναι κοινόχρηστο, και δεν αναφέρουμε πουθενά ότι είναι ιδιωτικό.
Το διαμέρισμα είναι 32 τ.μ και το κλιματιστικό είναι υπέρ αρκετό για να καλύψει όλο το διαμέρισμα γι’ αυτό και το έχουμε τοποθετήσει σύμφωνα με την μελέτη του χώρου.
Υπάρχουν 20 φωτογραφίες όπου ο υποψήφιος επισκέπτης μπορεί να δει με ακρίβεια ολόκληρο το διαμέρισμα, με το παλαιομοδίτικο όπως εσείς λέτε, αλλά ΠΕΝΤΑΚΑΘΑΡΟ μπάνιο. Και ακριβώς αυτό ενδιαφέρει τον περισσότερο κόσμο, ότι είναι πεντακάθαρο!
Τα κλιματιστικά σε όλα τα ξενοδοχεία υπάρχουν και λειτουργούν όσο ο επισκέπτης βρίσκετε ΜΕΣΑ δωμάτιο. Εσείς έχετε την δική σας θεωρία περί του θέματος και για κάποιο λόγο είστε πολύ υπερήφανη να φεύγετε από το δωμάτιο, να αφήνετε το κλιματιστικό ανοιχτό από πολύ νωρίς το πρωί μέχρι τις 22:00+ το βράδυ κατά την απουσία σας πάντα, και παρόλο αυτό να ζητάτε και εξηγήσεις γιατί έκλεισε το κλιματιστικό. Σας ανέφερα ότι γίνονται διακοπές ρεύματος (και ήταν η περίοδος του καύσωνα με όλα τα κλιματιστικά να δουλεύουν, και να υπάρχει φόρτος στην ΔΕΗ) και ήταν η πραγματικότητα.. -Το διπλανό οίκημα που ψευδώς αναφέρετε ότι ήσασταν και δεν έγινε καμιά διακοπή ήταν η λίμνη του Καϊάφα 7,7 km μακριά που κάνατε σκί, ή το ξενοδοχείο στην παραλία που είναι 700μέτρα μακριά. Δεν το λες και διπλανό οίκημα! Όχι κυρία μου δεν είναι έτσι, και ευτυχώς είστε ΜΟΝΑΔΙΚΗ περίπτωση ατόμου που δεν σεβάστηκε τον χώρο. Παρόλα αυτά, και ενώ είχα κάθε δικαίωμα να το κάνω, δεν έκλεισα το κλιματιστικό σας, όπως δεν το έχω κάνει ποτέ σε κανέναν άλλο.
Έχω μάθει να σέβομαι όλους τους επισκέπτες ακόμα και όταν με βγάζουν από τα ρούχα μου όπως εσείς, αυτό λέγεται παιδεία, και προφανώς είναι κάτι που εσείς ΔΕΝ διαθέτετε. Το να προσπαθείτε με ΨΕΜΑΤΑ και κακοήθειες να δυσφημήσετε το κατάλυμα ΔΕΙΧΝΕΤΕ την δική σας παιδεία. Το να μην σας άρεσε το διαμέρισμα είναι δικαίωμα σας να το αναφέρετε, το να γράφετε ψέματα και κακοήθειες είναι απλά ντροπή σας!
Δεν άξιζε καν να απαντήσω στις κακοήθειες σας, αλλά ο κόσμος είναι αυτός που θα κρίνει και το απαράδεκτο διαμέρισμα και την αγενή οικοδέσποινα!

Simple and clean
A little older place but well kept up. Clean, spacious room, with comfy bed. Just a short walk to the center and close to the beach. Over all a good value apartment hotel. The owner is lovely, and very helpful for any request. Pet friendly. Highly Recommeneded! I would stay here again.

Great value for money, peace, quiet and clean rooms!
We spent 8 days in room 8 and had a great time. Hotel is located in the center of Kakovatos, just 2min drive from the beach. A family business hotel, great hospitality, so friendly owner. Interior design of rooms can be improved but it's simple and CLEAN. That's what matters the most. Definitely got much more than I expected.
