Great sea view
My husband and I have stayed here in June 2016 and been very happy with the cleanliness of the room and the warm hospitality.
It has an amazing sea view from its private terrace where we enjoyed our morning coffee watching the beautiful blue sea and starry sky in pitch dark night.
It is bit out of Plakias which comes with great benefits like peacefully quiet location, views of the town and closer to a better beach (Souda)
If you are booking Elgini Studios, I would recommend you to have a car though. Even though it is only 5 mins driving, the road to Plakias is not a perfect walking path.

Un'Oasi con una vista sensazionale / An oasis with an amazing view
La salita ripida vale la pena di essere sostenuta per giungere in una vera oasi di tranquillitá con appartamenti ben rifiniti e di gusto, un giardino curatissimo, un’accoglienza calorosa e familiare, una vista panoramica. Una vacanza da ricordare.
It´s worth to step through the steep path in order to reach a real oasis of calm with well-finished and nice apartments, a landscaped garden, a warm and familiar welcome, a scenic and amazing view. A memorable holiday.

Just great
Astonishing views over the Libyan Sea which was all I needed for my holidays. The room was spacious and recently renovated. The hospitality of the landlords was amazing.. They invited me every time they had something to offer when they saw me passing by. I really liked to walk down to the beach even though it is about 1km away. The rooms on the first floor are absolutely great with huge independent balconies that guarantee quiet and relaxing moments.

wonderful view and garden
we enjoy our time in the apartement very much in september 2012 - it has all we need and friendly and sensitive host.
specially we like the view from the terasse over the sea and landscape and the beautiful garden with different sitting places.
most people rent a car but for us ist was it was also possibel and a little adventure to go to the beach and plakias and around by bus, taxi, bicycle or walking (tours with "anso" ar good)

Excellent value for money
Different from the luxurious hotels and having exactly what you need, this little family-run studio apartments felt just like home.
We stayed with my husband and little baby for a week in August 2012, in room number two with a great view to the bay. We could prepare anything we needed for us and the baby in the fully equipped little kitchen. We had aircondition –I think all rooms do- and the studio was really clean and spacious. The bathroom didn’t have a bathtube (had only shower) and was kind of small but for 55euros per night, it did not seem much of an issue.
It was very important for us that the studios are located 10min away from the village of Plakias and far from any busy street, so despite that we needed the car to reach anything, we enjoyed the quiet evenings and nights in the garden.
The owners –Zania and Stelios- are really friendly and helpful in anything we asked for. They are willing to tell you all the hints and tips of the area, even though their English is far away from fluent. And if you are lucky, you can try cretan delicacies offered in your apartment.
We would definitely go back there if we go again in Crete.. but be sure to book well in advance as there are only 5 studios available.
