An absolute must book

Natalie and Pavlos made me and my two daughters feel incredibly welcome. This was a huge relief for someone trying to avoid the usual all-inclusive experience. Loutro is a must-visit and I was delighted with this choice as it offers the best views in the town. I still vividly remember waiting for my youngest to wake up against the backdrop of a small window open to the blue water and a little boat passing by. The girls and I had a truly memorable visit to Sifis and Loutro itself. We swam in the crystal-clear ‘big pool’ ate out past bedtime and felt incredibly connected to everything. I can’t recommend this place enough. It was a truly rare and wonderful experience. A huge thanks to Natalie and Pavlos and it was lovely to meet you both. Chris

Our stay at Sifis was the absolute highlight of our Crete trip!

A very big thank you to the hosts, Pavlos and Natalia — they are simply the best! You
feel at home from the very first moment. The entire staff is the most lovely
at all and really helps immediately with every request.
The rooms are sparkling clean and perfectly maintained, and the food in the tavern is simply the tastiest
ever — every meal right by the sea was a real treat! The view from the balcony of the bay
made this vacation perfect.
Many thanks to Pavlos, Natalia, and the entire Sifis team for this magnificent Cretan
hospitality. We will be back!

The BEST in Loutro

Best stay ever! Pavlos & Natalie are exceptional hosts. Their stunning property is in the best part of Loutro, with breathtaking views and crystal-clear waters right in front of you. We loved relaxing on the beautiful lounges and couches while taking in the amazing scenery.
The views from the rooms are incredible, and the location is simply unbeatable. The café-style dining was wonderful, and the cocktails were amazing. The rooms are fabulous, immaculate, and have everything you need for a perfect stay.
A must-visit and, without a doubt, the only place to stay in Loutro. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great location, very bad service

The bar at Sifis in Loutro is a total disaster. They are quite clearly not in the market for catering customers. Customers that pay their bills. Used to be really nice when Christina was in charge. Athmosphere and nice music. Today; Unfriendly staff, except for the Australian woman. The staff has no idea about running a bar, they mix up orders, pay no attention to customers and over charge or double charge for bills. Total disaster. Only good thing is the location. The food used to be good, not anymore. You feel unwelcome when you go there. Make sure to pay your bar bill immediately to avoid their scam.

Excellent cheese pie but an uncomfortable atmosphere

I was in Loutro in 2012, with family and a friend, when we all stayed at Sifis Hotel. Looking at coming back to Loutro this year, I automatically thought of returning to the Sifis but felt uneasy about some of the reviews so booked the Daskalogiannis instead which is next door and turned out to be an excellent choice. However, my friend and I did have a drink and some cheese pie at Sifis one evening and, whilst the cheese pie was excellent, we both felt that there was an edginess in the atmosphere. I’m not sure what has changed exactly but it seems that Christina is no longer there and has taken the happy, laid back feeling with her. As I say, neither of us could fault the cheese pie but the atmosphere was uncomfortable and seemed tense. I doubt that we'd return to eat at Sifis and we certainly wouldn’t stay there now.
