MOHO in Moalboal provides adults-only accommodation with a shared lounge and a bar. The property is set less than 1 km from Panagsama Beach, 26 km from Kawasan Falls and 26 km from Santo Nino Church.

Seriously assaulted
Didn't stay at the hostel but went along for the trivia night which was great! Met new people had fun but warning to others don't drink too much as you may put yourself at risk of being on receiving end of serious assault bloodied and left on the street outside the venue. Thank you to the two young tourists (Dutch maybe) who came to my assistance.

AVOID
This is the worst hostel we have stayed in during our 5 month + trip!
We booked our stay on hostel world and when we arrived the room looked nothing like the picture and the description was “newly renovated dorms” which the other dorm may have been but ours was definitely not!
We had ants in our beds every single night.
The shower trickled to the point where showering felt pointless but in the description it was described as “hot/cold showers with good water pressure”.
It is not described in any way as a party hostel but 3 out of 4 nights we were kept awake past midnight with music/karaoke blasting. We have no issues with party hostels but we personally avoid them and we would have never booked if it was described as one.
On our second night it was apparently the owners birthday and they kept the entire building, if you can call it that, awake until 3am singing karaoke, which at that point there was no longer paying customers it was ONLY THE STAFF DRINKING!
On the 3rd night they were again blasting music so at midnight me and my friend went out to ask if they could turn the music down as we couldn’t sleep and we were told they didn’t care!
Since mentioning this to staff when checking out, they have marked our trip as cancelled so we cannot leave a review for other travellers who may regret booking their stay there.
I’d avoid as there are plenty of nicer options in the area!

avoid this hostel
would not recommend. Music blasting till 3am, showers freezing cold and a drip of water, rude owner, bugs in the room and the rooms do not look like the pictures. I have travelled around the world and this was the worst hostel I have been to. Cancelled my stay on hostel world after leaving so I can’t leave a bad review on there. Avoid at all costs !

Would not recommend
This hostel was a terrible place. We felt horribly unsafe during our stay here. One of our friends got robbed while sleeping and when we mentioned this; nothing was done about it. This lack of concern left us feeling anxious throughout our stay here. Although the athmosphere is open and social and the location is good, it was the worst experience we had in the whole Philippines. Would definitely NOT recommend this hostel.

street thiefs can come in
I’ve been in the hostel during 2 nights. During the first night a foreign thief came to our room and checked out all our luggages while we were asleep. We were really scared because we were just 7 girls. We’ve sent the guy away, because there was no security at all. The next day I saw that all my money was gone. We’ve talked to the staff, but they told us we were lying because they didn’t see him and wanted to let me sign a paper that this was my fault. The security camera’s don’t work and there is no security. They didn’t even say sorry or offer more security for the next day. This was one of the scariest nights of my life. I don’t recommend at all.
