Servhotel

The Hôtel Servhotel is located in Morestel, in the Isère region of south-eastern France. Guest rooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi access and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. A continental breakfast is served every morning and guests can enjoy the hotel’s picnic area. A vending machine selling drinks is also available. The Servhotel is 15 kilometres from the E70 motorway between Lyon and Chambéry. With free private parking, the medieval town of Morestel is 500 metres away. Local activities include cycling and hiking. From Monday to Saturday, the hotel opens at 17:00. On Sundays and public holidays, the reception is open from 19:00 until 22:00. Guests arriving after 22:00 are kindly requested to contact the hotel before 21:00 on the day of arrival in order to receive the access code to enter the hotel. Please note that when booking 5 rooms or more, special conditions may apply. Please contact the property for further details using the contact information on your booking confirmation. Cheap and cheerful

Stopped here on our way home from the south of France and had not book. Gentleman on reception could speak English and remembered my father in law who had stayed 3 yrs ago.
Room was clean and tidy.
Good value for money.

Handy stopover

Located next to a bar, and an easy walk to the quite interesting town centre. The reasonably priced Servhotel is quite run down, but the welcome is warm and good english is spoken. We had a large room facing away from the busy main road, a comfortable bed and huge desk. We enjoyed a good evening meal in Morestel at the other hotel, then ambled around the old and interesting part of town back towards our hotel. A surprisingly good buffet breakfast is served in a pleasant room, but we enjoyed ours in the morning sunshine on the outside rear terrace. Attentive service with everything topped up as required. Morestel has two petrol stations and hotels. Free parking.

Cheap Clean and Comfortable

We needed a night stop between Burgundy and the coast and Morestel was good location, avoiding the large town of Grenoble and parking problems. Servhotel parking right outside the rooms, room clean, spacious and comfortable (with ensuite). Management very helpful, breakfast (included) adequate - fresh croissants, fruit and yoghurt. Good coffee. The manager recommended "Chez les Gones" next door for dinner. The place looked awful at first glance - a bit Las Vegassy, but the service was excellent and the food included the local speciality of "Ravioles".

2 Stars in Morestel are better then 3 Stars

After our bad experience in Hotel de France, we found this hotel. The owner did everything to help us. he even speaks english! The goal of the hotel is the Internet, it is actualy working not only sometimes, it is slow but you can write and send emails. Also parking is possible on the ground and not somewhere on the street. Restaurants are in walking distance with good food, The breakfast is also better than in the 3 Star hotel. The bathrooms are working but not in the best shape but at least everything is working not broken like in the 3 Star hotel.
Very friendly and helpful stuff way better than in the 3 Star hotel!

Absolutel awful, most rude people I have ever meet

This hotel receptionist was so rude and inconsiderate words almost fail me. We arrived 30 minutes before check in 42C heat and asked if we could just sit in reception until the check in opened. Several of our party were in their 70s. The abuse from the reception was unbelievable.
We were so upset we had to find another hotel and loose our prepaid booking as some in our party were very distressed. We found the hotel du France which we were lovely.
Booking.com you need to drop this awful hotel ASAP.

You tried to get into the hotel out the chek-in time by a private door, as a group of policemen where staying in our establishment for already a long time.
You have not been authorized to get in by the gardian, as a great deal of military furnitures were in place.
You made the choice not to present yourself at the chek-in time and went to another hotel. Because you didn't have made any concellation, you had to pay the "no-show".
As you didnt sleep in our hotel, your complain is not countable.
Vous avez essayé de pénétrer dans l'hôtel par effraction, alors qu'un groupe de gendarmes se reposaient, y séjournant de longue date.
Vous avez été éconduits par la personne en charge de la sécurité, à juste titre (du matériel sensible étant stockés dans l'hôtel).
Vous avez choisi de ne pas honorer votre réservation, et sans annulation préalable, vous avez dû régler les frais de "no show" prévus au contrat.
Vous n'avez donc pas séjourné dans l'hôtel. Votre avis n'a pas lieu d'être.
