Pleased for the money

Great location and an affordable price. The room itself was nice and well kept, and the Wifi is really good. There is no communal place to meet other travelers, and it seemed the door locks at some points, but couldn't really figure that out.

For the Money I Was Quite Happy

Had to find a place late at night after I found out my AirBnB reservation was a complete dump. The one other review of this place is not completely wrong though. This place can be loud at night. And if the morning (all day actually) if you include the chicken coop on the roof. I was on the third floor so I heard them well although those sounds don't bother me like traffic noise. There was a receptionist on duty who spoke very good English while I was there. Only Sunday was she gone and the other gentleman wasn't bilingual. Room was cleaned well by a couple of very courteous girls every day. All the staff was always courteous. The first morning something had happened to the hot water but a phone call and 15 minutes later all was well. Considering how affordable this place is I'd stay again if in Loja.

An average mid level hostal

The place is OK but could be better.
The room unfortunately smelt a bit and was a little dark, with poor lighting and one window.
Like most South American hotels the walls are paper things so it's noisy. They also have a large washing machine that they run at night which adds to the noise. Not to mention the carpark in the courtyard that is noisy in the morning with people leaving.
The beds were comfortable enough and the bathroom a reasonable size and clean. Importantly the shower had good pressure and hot water that you didn't have to wait long for.
They don't do breakfast and while they have an ern it's never got any water in it and you feel like a bother to ask for hot water for tea/coffee.
It's a 10 to 15 min walk to the central park/main square and there are minimarkets and a few restaurants nearby.
Staff where friendly but didn't speak any English do best to know some basic Spanish.

Très propre

La simple à peine 10 usd.Evitez la chambre 212 , du bruit le matin ( machine à laver. ..) . Personnelles sympa. Les bus passent à proximité et ils sont pas loin du centre. Il y a quelques restaurants simple à côté.
