First time

I stayed at the Germania during a two day business trip. The hotel looks small from the outside but is surprisingly large with 7 conference salons. My suite was clean, comfortable and provided all the necessities for my stay. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient at all times.

Nice and reasonable

When I was searching for a hotel in Concepcion, there were few options to choose from. Hotel Germania is reasonably priced, very clean, and a pleasant stay. The rooms are comfortable and simple. The staff is very nice and actually upgraded my room because the customs agents made a mistake on my entry papers, that didn't allow me the 19% tax waived as an American. The complimentary breakfast in the morning is very European in style and quite good. Location is downtown, thus allowing easy access to many restaurants, shopping, etc.

Nice and comfortable

We spent 3 nights at the hotel Germania.
The room is good size and also the bathroom and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the heating good (it was a very cold outside).
Breakfast was good, the coffee was delicious and there was toast, fruit, eggs, cakes, cereal, yogurt. Perfect.
What I most liked was the location, because we did not need to take the car out of the garage. There were places to have dinner within walking distance, the main street two blocks away. However, the big mall, Trebol is not close.

Basic but Fine

Location: Right next to the Plaza de Armas. Location is fine by Concepcion standards. Walking distance to everything in the city (which apart from the University isn't much).
Room: Basic but adequate. Heating was fine. Internet was slow but you wouldn't expect much. Furniture was old but for the city and area it wasn't bad.Toilette was fine.
Breakfast: It was included in the rate and it was OK.
It was full during our stay (for Copa America) and the hotel was run adequately.
It isn't luxurious but there is little choice in Concepcion. More for travelling salesmen than leisure travellers but if you have to be in Concepcion it is OK, just.

Best Hotel...

I've traveled to 5 different countries in the past 5 years, Guatemala, Panama, Austria, and Ecuador. This hotel is my favorite! Service was great and all rooms are very nice and clean. All the meals we had, breakfast and dinners where very good. I would highly recommend you stay here!
