Basic but comfortable, clean place to stay for a couple of nights

A nice little place to stay for a couple of nights. Pretty basic but it's clean and comfortable and affordable. It also has a small kitchen where you can make food. Staff are nice and it's close to the bus station. It gets the job done if you need a base for a few nights in Calama.

In the center... really disappointed...

I spent 2 nights at the Yallalla... I had asked for info the day before and my room was negotiated at 17900 Chilean pesos .When I arrived the next day the price went up to 20000 Chilean pesos...you have to climb a staircase with your luggage...the owner was not welcoming..she only told me the rules of the establishment by shouting in my ears! in short the room has a window on the hallway with a curtain not very opaque which makes that when the light is on in the hallway the light passes through the curtain! the television was super loud but fortunately stopped at 10.30pm! the bathroom, toilet is common! no hot water in the shower... no hand towel either! positive point the hotel is located near the center and has a kitchen with drinking water!
Past 2 noche in Yallalla... Había pedido información el día anterior y mi habitación estaba negociada in 17,900 pesos chilenos. Cuando llegué al día siguiente el precio subió a 20,000 pesos chilenos... hay que undergo a tramo de escaleras con tu equipaje...la dueña no fue muy acogedora...¡solo me dijo las reglas del establecimiento gritándome en los oídos! In summary, the habitación tiene una ventana al pasillo con una cortina poco opaca, lo que signified that cuando la luz está encendida en el pasillo, ¡la luz pasa a traves de la cortina! El televisor estaba muy alto pero por suerte se apagó a las 10:30 p.m. No hay agua caliente en la ducha... ¡ni toallas de mano! Punto positivo el hotel está situado cerca del centro y tiene cocina con agua potable!

Great stay

We stayed at Jallalla in a double room with private bathroom for 2 nights.
Things we appreciated:
- friendly staff and late check-in was no problem
- clean and comfortable bed
- good sized room with a small table and chair in the corner
- really funky balcony area
- shared kitchen available
- good location
- secure accomodations
Things which weren't ideal for us:
- the bathroom didn't smell or feel as clean as we would have appreciated.
- the kitchen was quite dirty in general (no hot water or plug in the sink to clean properly, and glasses and cups in the kitchen were dirty). We also noticed a staff member eating breakfast in the morning and they hadn't cleaned their glass or wiped the table when we cooked at 6pm that evening.
- no sharp knives in the kitchen so bring your own
- we would have preferred a key to the front gate, although the response time to the bell was always pretty good.
We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others - we really enjoyed the space and felt it was good value for money.

Mauvais rapport qualité prix

Hôtel bas de gamme qui fait pourtant payer cher la nuit pour ce qu'il est.
Pas d'eau chaude pour nous le matin. Chambres vétustes.
Attention, le nom de l'hôtel n'est pas indiqué en façade. Pourquoi ?
Seule chose positive : la cuisine bien équipée et propre. Pratique !
