Top-experience hostel

Great location, and cosy space. Warm and welcoming stuff. The tropical garden is a great chill-out space, sometimes even frequented by monkeys! For sure I 'll stay there again, should I come back to Recife.

Poor service and lack of hospitality

As soon as I arrived, tired and with a lot of heat, I asked for a towel to take a bath. The receptionist refused to deliver, saying that I would have to wait for the maid the next day and suggesting that I wear a blouse of mine to dry myself. The wear to get a simple bath towel was unbelievable.
In addition, the common environment next to the room was noisy, with people listening to audio with maximum volume speech on the cell phone, without any posture of the team to maintain respect in the shared space.
I decided not to spend the first night there. I canceled the reservation at the same time and went to another place (where, fortunately, I was treated very well, proving that the lack of education is an exclusivity of this hostel).
To complete the disrespect, the management of the Cosmopolitan refused to refund the value of the nights I even used, claiming that "the room was available". Lack of professionalism, lack of hospitality and total despair with the consumer. I do not recommend to anyone!

My stay

My stay was to short but I will definitely come back! The place is so nice, clean and has air-conditioning! YES! The staff is really friendly and tries to help where possible. I definitely recommend this place!

Good hostel in great beach location!

We stayed here for a week and we found it really good. Great location a few minutes from Walmart, beach and plenty of restaurants/bars. Staff were friendly and helpful. We made some new friends and found it a pretty relaxed hostel. Safe area and decent breakfast!

Ok hostel

Not the best hostel, but there is not much choice in Recife.
Rooms did not look as good as the pictures made them look.
Room and common areas were swarming with mossies.
Just to note this hostel is a good location for the airport but the bus station is nearly an hour out of the city. Also it is worth noting that you can't go in the sea in Recife due to sharks.
Good location for a day trip to Olinda, would suggeste staying in Porto Galinhas instead at Che Lagarto.
