Day at Belem

Nice place to stay! Good location near by the centre of Belem.
The rooms were cleaned. Not so big but ok and a compared bathroom at the room.
You have to pay for the lockers when you are already check out.
No breakfast but you have nice places in the neighbourhood to get a breakfast!

Not worth it

We stayed on the first floor and our ceiling leaked when it rained. The walls had mold on them. The A/C worked, but we were not provided sheets for our beds. When the staff thought we had already checked out, they left brand new sheets and pillow cases for the new guests (which we were not provided). The location was downtown, but not near any shops or restaurants... We paid for 3 nights, but only stayed for 2. We were also charged a luggage service fee that we never intended on using. I would stay here again if it was my very last resort.

Good hostel and kind staff

Good location, hot shower, cheap dormitories, and staff really interesting and kind with them.
They bring us a lot of advice to visit the city, the transport etc.
They don't offer breakfast but there is a lot of supermarket all around

Cheap just for a room

Yes this hostel is cheap, the rooms are fine for what you pay for. Small but you can't expect much for the price. Just be very careful for the extra costs, if you only leave in the evening they charge you to stay and use the internet and kitchen and also to store your bag. Don't do washing there as it works out very expensive.
If you need a cheap stop over for a night and aren't hanging around then the hostel would suite you.

be careful

The structure is constrained and adapted for use as a hostel, with small rooms cramped and dark. The price is low but watch out for extra loads, such as 5 reais for storing luggage tags or 6 reais per sheet for each printing from a computer, to the strong mark on the washing of clothes. If you need to buy tickets for the boat to Santarem or Manaus also check the prices out of the hostel, which often apply higher charges or differentiated according to the type of guests (example 200 reais instead of the standard rate of 150 reasi for navigation from Belem Santarem)
