The lady who checked us in at reception was friendly and went above and beyond organising taxis and explaining everything about the local area to us.

I booked a room with a view on the city but I got one with a view on the garden which desperately needs to be cleaned. Besides that it said that the room was sound proof. I wish I could insert a video because I got woken up by people having intercourse. Which was very annoying because I couldnt sleep the whole the night. And later on the staff in the morning because they were grabbing stuff downstairs. the doors are way too thin so you can hear everything. Besides that the room had a funky smell. It kind of smelled like mold. I saw that they also had painted over some water damage in the room I was staying. In the general area, the carpet desperately needs to be cleaned because its full of stains and holes. Knowing Belgians they probably wont do that because they hate to renovate. Please avoid this place!

The images of this hotel do not match its current state of (dis)repair.
We had a basement room (yes, there are rooms down a dark musty stairwell with torn up carpeting.) The room itself wasn't too bad, but the hallways and exterior of the property are in really bad shape. Would not ever consider staying there again.

A good basic hotel. However, as the hotel does not have air conditioning I would avoid it during hot summer months. Furhtermore, the textiles in the room and walls in the shower would benefit from a good cleaning.

Overpriced hotel. While for a similar rate some hotels offer a good service and have a nice atmosphere... I arrived in a room with an open window (great at midnight in February)... The "decoration" of the rooms is quite old and gloomy: I ended up in a room "Cocoa" (or sthg alike) decorated with... simili-chocolats sticked on the walls. Disgusting. Overall, very expensive for a hotel of that quality in Brussels.
