I was at the restaurant, it's fantastic
I was at the restaurant, it's fantastic, we ate very well, the atmosphere is very refined, typical Singaporean menu, generous portions, very polite service, we really had a great time. I think we will be back soon.

Hotel would be ok with better management.
No bar on site so can’t get ice or milk.
There is a bar next door but not part of the hotel

Singapore is expensive so for what we paid and what we got prob ok but I have worked too hard for only ok. I would seriously look

Warning to future guests: Poor housekeeping and double-charging issues
We previously loved staying here when it was The Scarlet, but under its new name and management, the experience has severely deteriorated.
The Issues:
Housekeeping Delays: On the first two days, our room was not serviced until 6:00 PM. On day two, we had to wait out in the hallway while they cleaned it. I had to explicitly request midday cleaning every single morning thereafter just to ensure it got done.
Severe Overcharging & Poor Customer Service: I prepaid for the room in full through Booking.com. After checkout, the hotel incorrectly debited my card for the full amount again. When contacted with bank statements proving the double charge, the hotel denied it twice and refused to assist, telling me to contact Booking.com.
It took two long months of fighting through Booking.com to finally receive my refund, where it was ultimately proven that the hotel made the error. While the location remains fantastic, the current management and billing risks mean we will not be returning.

Friendly and courteous staff
This is a good value mid range hotel in an excellent location. Just 2 minutes walk from Chinatown with shopping and great choice of restaurants and from the MRT brown line with easy access to Changi airport and major attractions.
The hotel is clean and welcoming and what it lacks in facilities it makes up for with positive staff attitude. Staff are both courteous and helpful and keen to answer any travel or sightseeing queries. We had a late flight which meant storing luggage but this was easily accommodated and we were able to take a shower in the Spa facility (currently being upgraded) with fresh towels procided on request even though we had technically 'checked out.' We were also encouraged to wait in the hotel lobby for our pick up in the evening.

Satisfactory stay at Scarlet
It was quite an experience having had stayed at this boutique hotel. The word “Scarlet” gives away the theme of the property- as far as color is concerned. It was quite obvious. The interiors are quite dark since the hallways are carpeted with color burgundy.
I requested for a room near the lift. Next time I should be a bit more specific. I did have a room near a lift but the lift was totally useless since my room was in the first floor all the way to the end. Were they joking??!! I needed to be near the lift if my room was going to be on the upper floors. That’s what I should have said. So unfortunately I didn’t appreciate having been given a room at the very end of a long hallway which incidentally was near a lift.
But all else was satisfactory- the room’s amenities, the bathroom was unbelievably spacious but the room was a bit cramped. It had a window but it opened to a neighbor’s backyard. So that was window too was useless. There was one night where the neighbors had guests over so they could be seen and heard from my window. They had drinks and snacks in the room that were complimentary so that was nice - and they refilled it each night. Comes with a local Tiger beer and a Coke (regular and diet).
The neighborhood is quite awesome. It’s somewhat across the Maxwell Food Centre and the train station. There are several restaurant options around. Including Toast Box!
Overall my stay was satisfying but nothing too uneventful.
