Simple and friendly

This is a very simple B&B with a honey feel. The location is close to all the major sights and in a safe feeling environment - also near a fabulous cocktail bar! Room simple and basic but clean with good bathroom and shower. Breakfast simple but more than sufficient. The keys do cause a little messing around but not the end of the world. More than adequate for 2 nights.

Good location but defects

We had booked this room urgently following a problem in our airbnb (too much noise), which I had told the team. Unfortunately the Church adjacent to the Pension is undergoing renovation: jackhammer from 8am to 4.45pm continuously! And the bells of the bell tower that for 1 minute ring at 7:30 in the morning. I would have liked to have been warned, but we did not. The residence remains very beautiful, with a magnificent roof terrace on Palermo. Our room was beautiful, with quiet air conditioning. The configuration of the apartment remains special due to the location, with long corridors. Supervision and reception are remote, and the team is responsive. It is true that the key system is quite cumbersome and complex, with a slightly haphazard entrance door to the building to succeed in opening. If the room was fine, the bathroom was less so. A toilet bezel poorly fixed with screws missing, water that continues to flow due to the flushing system, and a slight runoff to the ground appeared once. Hot water takes a very long time to get to the 4th. Without being serious, it darkens the experience a bit where we thought that for the Award it would have been a higher range. For all that, the room to have breakfast is very nice, Franca the host present at this time the is very nice although speaking only Italian, and accommodating. Breakfast was very good for us. Note the possibility to leave our suitcases in a secure way while waiting for the room, perfect to visit in the meantime. The neighborhood is very nice, much better than our originally planned airbnb, with animation not far away. The experience could be really nice by correcting some concerns and putting a renovation in the bathroom

Good location but complicated access to small rooms

Good central location but restricted and complicated access to rooms.
The rooms were small but clean. Breakfast was average and again had to be accessed by a tiny lift only.
Sadly their follow up to a simple enquiry was poor and bordering on arrogant.
Would not use this hotel again.

Terrible Experience

Though Ilenia was good about communicating and helpful when I had some questions, I found this a very uncomfortable, disappointing place. There were many small problems and they were made worse because there was no one on site to help.
Three keys were required to get into my room and the front door key had to be maneuvered in a very particular way. I was never able to get the key to open the breakfast room. The room safe did not work. It was necessary to unplug a lamp in order to use the outlet to charge my electronics.
I was told there was an elevator, but there was an elevator only partway to my room. The rest of the way was up a steep, narrow stairway.
The building is in a rabbit's warren of very confusing streets.

Highly recommended

The location is simply perfect for exploring Palermo. There is no noise at night, which was very pleasant as we were travelling with our little daughter.
The breakfast is sufficient and good, the rooms clean and comfortable.
What we particularly liked was the extremely friendly and quick communication via WhatsApp. And Franca, the housekeeper, was just wonderful, very helpful and so friendly to our daughter.
