Palatial digs

Loved our stay here in the beautiful old palace. Not altogether easy to find as no external signage but stride boldly towards the biggest crenellated building in town and you won't go far wrong. Inside all is serene especially in the well tended gardens and the spotless swimming pool. The gardener helped us to mulberries from the boughs and introduced us to his charming dog, Harry. The public areas are stylish if slightly spartan, and the bedroom had everything we needed - as well as a temperamental A/C operation that blew hot air instead of cold and leaked a bit. No matter! A real first world problem. Breakfast taken in the courtyard was excellent. This was our favourite stopping place on our short Puglian walking holiday.

Negative Experience, Not Recommendation!

An experience not to be repeated, a structure that I do not Recommendation to anyone, beautiful and attractive there is only the garden (which is also a little neglected) the rooms had closets and bedside tables full of holes of larvae, in addition to the presence of larvae that could be seen inside the closet, live centipedes present inside the room, dirty sheets that we had replaced immediately and a poor breakfast ... there were jars of Nutella and jam where everyone present at breakfast approached and took directly with the teaspoon (an unhygienic situation and there should be the single-dose portions) a structure that costs a lot but does not count for that price (90 euros per night !!)

Tranquility in a small village in southern Salento

A nice building, a nice garden, a nice atmosphere, shame about an air conditioner that made only noise and the road with mopeds lost at all hours. We still had a great time, thanks to the really nice and helpful hosts. The pool is a nice refuge when in August the wonderful Salento coves overflow with people. Recommended, we will return and ask for a non-road room

Beautiful, comfortable and cozy

Most beautiful B&B I have stayed at! We stayed three nights but could have stayed for weeks!
We had a large room with a bedroom, living room, kitchen o a beautiful bathroom. Our teenagers had their own room in with bathroom and fridge.
We sat in the courtyard and enjoyed the fantastic breakfast. Every morning they had reserved b we per table for us so we could sit together all four.
The pool was good, it was just us and sometimes another couple lying there in the afternoons.
A short walk from the palace there is a fantastic restaurant “ Aria Corte”. Wonderful fish and tiramisu, everything we ordered was delicious o Virgilio took good care of us.
Utòpia is a café with wonderful pastries, gelato, coffee, limoncello etc.
Will certainly come back to Marittima and Palatzo Vecchio.

Negative review

Excellent structure but they remained helpless to the customer's needs... given that I was attacked by 15 people plus a local public official and they didn't say anything to defend their customer
